| It should run about 195-205. the fan should kick on at 205 and turn off at 195. | |

| Are you sure the radiator is cleen? Might check around the edges of the tank. Don't take much to make a difference with such a small radiator. | |

| Yes the radiator is clean. Do you think it could be the thermostat? I've took it tO my local dealer and it never got hot on them. | |

| I think that there may be a problem with the fan relay. I believe some others have found theirs is under the floor board, yes, where it gets water on it, and found that it rusts out. The ones that I know of have found that after the relay is rusted, it will not let the fan run at full speed or will not let it come on at all. Run a wire direct to the fan, with a switch and see if it runs faster. If it does, buy a new relay and relocate it higher. No guarantee, but hope it helps. | |

exactly what he said.. the 2011s are the ONly year model that has this defect.. The relay is under the drivers seat at the frame rail.. Worse possible spot. Yours could still be working sometimes that might be why it didn't do it at the dealer.. That or the fan is just running at reduced speed and the dealer did not put enough of a load on the motor to get it hot.. Climbing up and down hills in the woods is a little different then driving around a parking lot..

| I've been fooling with it this morning and have found that the relay may be my problem fan kicks on the first three cycles like it should. Then after that it kicks on very erratic and only stays on for a few seconds. | |

| Def relocate the CB, I ran mine into the battery compartment and also wired in a override fan switch so I can kick it on before hitting long steep hills. | |

| Mine overheated but the dealer said it was the water pump seal. It has been replaced. I drove it around the neighborhood yesterday and temp got up to 208. Fan kicked on and temp went up to 210, then dropped to 195 in about two minutes and fan kicked off. | |

| There is a guy on RZR forum that has pics on how to relocate the Fan CB. I did this to mine. Radio shack project box and some wire and marine grade shrink wrap connectors. located it behind the drivers seat up high. | |

| Guys, that is not a relay but rather a circuit breaker. Looks like a one-n-done (over current once and it's blown) circuit but can't be sure. Possibly a reseting breaker but I doubt it. | |

| Was just thinking, no need to relocate it. Cut it out and solder the wires together. Then put an inline 30A fuse on the fan power wire. | |

| Its a circuit breaker. Works just like a fuse but resets itself You should be able to buy a sealed marine version that would solve the problem. Or just buy a 4 dollar one at autozone and dip it in plastic dip. | |

| never seen a 2 wire relay before. 3,4 or 5 wires. ... looks like a cycling circuit breaker to me. next time, i'm working on mine, i pull mine out and check.

| Ahem.....It is acutally a Bimetallic Thermal Overload Relay. It is thermally triggered by load, which does not mean the relays bad, it could be the fan-motor drawing too much and tripping it out...I suspect the rads stopped-up or the fan motors junk. Have you pulled the radiator and verified???? Jimbo-IDSY Motor-Controls II------- | |

| Its not his fan... The breaker gets mud and water in it.. This causes the breaker to heat up cause of the poor conection.. This trips it.. Either that or the poor connection causes the fan to run at reduced speed.. Its really not that much to figure out... Stick a new one in if the problem goes away seal the new one up with plastic dip.. If the new breaker doesn't solve the problem then yes the fan might be going out.. Really though its almost a given if its a 2011 and overheating problems its that breaker under the drivers seat....... Its been a known defect since the 11s came out.. | |

| Well, mine started having the same symptoms. Dug the circuit breaker out of the harness from beneath the mud, yes, it is a circuit breaker. I found both the pins rusted and broken. the only reason it had been getting some contact was that it was taped very tight in the harness. I just cut mine out, and replaced it with an inline 20 amp fuse. and I located it high enough to not be a problem in the future. | |

Is it self-resetting? If you ever hit water with the fan running or something causes it drag down it will kick out the fuse/breaker. The breaker in it is a self resetting type so you wouldn't have to replace a fuse.

| yes, it works by heat, excessive load causes it to trip, when it cools, it will reset, if the excessive load is still there, they process will just continue on and on. If you suspect a short on that circuit, just touch the breaker, if it is hot enough to burn you, it has a short or excessive load. The pins on mine has rusted through. | |
