Prayers needed for BluKnight

Thanks for all of the prayers and well wishes. The doctor has sent me home today after 8 days in the hospital. They still don't know what the mass is but they don't think it is cancer. The doctors do think that it is responding to antibiotic treatment. So they sent me home with a PIC in my right arm and I have to give myself a high dose of antibiotics via IV once a day for the next 14 days. I then go back to the doctors and see if the mass has shrank anymore. I feel alot better and can breath alot better. I have not ran a fever in the past 72 hours which is great. All I can do is take it one day at a time and hope and pray that it goes away with the antibiotics. If not then I will have to have surgery done to take a slice of it to help determine exactly what it is. Again guys thanks for all of the prayers and look foward riding with you all again soon.

Hey Chad I am new here and don't know you, but am praying for you and your family. It looks like you have a bunch of folks praying and I can tell you that is the best thing that can happen when you have any kind of situation like this. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hey everyone the prayers are helping. I had to go back to the doctors today and they said I am doing good. They still do not know what the mass is but at least it is not causing me problems right now. The have ruled out cancer which is great. The fungual studies still have not came back yet since it takes approx. 6 weeks. And as far as bacteria goes they cant get anything to grow there either. I still have a PIC line and have to give myself a high dose of antibiotic once a day. The doctor told me that I will continue that until mid November. I do go for a CT scan on Thursday (11/1) to find out if the mass is still the same size or shrank. The doctors also released me to go back to work on Friday (11/2). I havent done much the last two weeks one being in the hospital and the other just sitting at home. Work will tell if any of the symptoms will come back like shortness of breath or chest pains along with coughing. I feel good right now and I really want to know what the CT scan is going to show on Thursday. That will really be the tell tell sign for all of it. Thanks for all of the prayers and thoughts. This is the best group of guys and gals in this club anyone could ask for.

I just wanted to give everyone an update. I went to the doctor today and found out that the mass in my chest has shrank alot as compared to the first CT scan I had done on October 21. I still have to give myself IV antibiotic once a day but it looks like I am on the road to recovery. I don't go back to the doctor until November 29th when they will do antoher CT scan. I hope by then it is completely gone. They still don't know what it is but at least it seems like it is going away. I want to thank everyone for all the prayers. They really have worked. I hope to be back out on the trails again real soon.
