XP2? 1/1/2013

Just read this on another forum:

The new Polaris will be here after the 1st of the year. More of a Wildcat frame and suspension. It will be 113HP. The only problem is going to be getting one without paying some ridiculous $2000 over MSRP like most Polaris dealerships think they are entitled to on new models. Not sure what the name will be, but it won't be a RZR...............

well my dealer know the engineer that been working on it for two years it is coming like i said a year ago they were calling it the xp 2 but that not the name it going to have. a new name and it going to be bad ass all the way they have the ball now and they are going to run with it

This guy predicted the XP, 2 months to find out.

If there is any truth....

I know its coming, just not sure of the name...... Im keeping my eye on it who knows what a new year will bring, I was let down bigtime by the maverick release, its better but still not the best

Talked to my dealer today. Asked him if Polaris had any big things coming out. He grinned and said that his regional rep had alluded to something badass coming out Jan 13. Gets our hopes up!!!!!

I've been hearing the same thing.. More HP, more travel. I was tempted to wait and see before I bought my new one.. But I don't want a first year and you have to figure a big new price tag is coming with that big new machine.. I'm looking forward to seeing it though.. I think they are going to make an all out sand rail.. That seems to be the market that drives them..

Still have the old 800 Who's the smart one now not getting the XP? That's usin the knot on your shoulders, boys. (actually the old ball-n-chain wouldn't let me)

was told the new machine comming is not gona replace the xp. the xp will still be the go to trail machine.

the new one is suposed to be bigger/wider etc geared more towards the sand dunes.

lol no kidding. I remember when the S came out it was to wide for a lot of trails mine around the house included.. Then everyone started buying Ss next thing you knew all the trails got a little wider.. Now out of 10 machines 2-3 of them are XPs.. Sure enough most of those spots that are tight for XPs are getting wider.

whats the deal with sand???? I dont get it, ive ridden the dunes before, ITS NOT THAT FUN. But for some reason these dum SOB think all the market is focused out west. Owell might be able to find a cheap XP when they release it..... but like I said im waiting till jan when they release it, and I still have strong info that yamaha is going to release SOMETHING (UTV) at the first of the year.

word is the paddle shifter is not for changing gears but to fine tune adjust the belt on the the sheaves so kind of manual control of the CVT

Sounds cool, sounds expensive in this economy. little over a month away at the same time the financial cliff is approaching.
