| It is my understanding that the Polaris Warranty will no longer cover A arm bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends. That sucks. I guess they are loosing their ass on replacement. | |

Well, they are doing it. They say the contract says "no replacement on worn parts".

| That's right. I was told NO on two wheel bearings and a rear drive shaft. They stated that "it hadn't failed yet and it was normal wear" that's why mine was denied. I ask them if the wheel had fell the f#$%k off would it have failed? They said yes it would have been covered. I then ask if they would cover my hospital bills when it failed next time and the wheel did fall off.
Right now the BEST thing we can do is file a formal complaint with our dealers on Polaris over parts not lasting. The extended warranty is through a contract company not Popo. I don't think they'll sit around and not do anything about it when there warranty contractors pissing off all there customers. The dude at the warranty co said that wheel bearings were only going to last 800 miles and that was normal??? WTF??? It says right in the contract that wheel bearings and drive shafts are covered. They said not if it hasn't failed yet!

| My last set of a-arm bushings and tie rods were covered because my warranty was through GE. The new Polaris warranties are under written by a company called Assurant (spelling). I read the new contract and it says it will not cover wear items.
My dealer says they have not been covering anything lately! It's disturbing for sure!

It depends. Axle brakes, front/rear diff, engine and trans are still covered. So it still could be worth it. However, it sounds like the SOBs are craw-fishing.

| I use to not even bother taking mine to the dealer just bushings and tierod ends. As far as worth getting I think so.. I had a 1200 dollar front diff replaced. Along with a few other parts over the three years. I paid around 450 for my warranty and I had over 1700 dollars worth of stuff replaced by it.. Honestly I don't see how they can make any money on extended warranties covering bushings and bearings ect. Its a warranty for an offroad machine and is unlimited milage.. I don't know a single person with a extended warranty that has not used it except for maybe the guys that don't ride much and only purchased a 1 year or something.. You get a 3-5 year warranty and log a decent amount of milage on it you will use the warranty... | |
