A great fix for another dumming down of just about everything. I despise child proof, warning stickers, and all the protective devices that are everywhere.

Myself, I'd just like to know when it was that America became too freaking dumb to pour gas from a gas can? I HATE OSHA, EPA, DOT, et. all. Screw them all and the easy ones twice!

You know what I've been saying I was going to put some kind of vent on mine.. Never even thought about a valve stem.. Awesome.. I also despise the new cans. It takes Forever to fill something up...

That's a great idea. I love it. But this is my solution to those worthless cans, though my solution is not nearly as inexpensive.

Just wondering if any of you guys followed through with this and gave it a try or not? It's like a lot of other stuff with me. I forgot all about it. Another senior moment or something I guess.

The very first thing that happened to me with my new 1000xt last year, was when i started fueling with this exact gas can displayed (unmodified) that stupid clear gas nozzle fell in my sxs gas tank. I have tied numerous times & ways to "fish it out" and even looked at taking out the gas tank but that looks to be beyond my pay grade of ability. I am afraid eventually that plastic piece will degrade and create problems....any ideas?

I like the idea of the NEW AND IMPROVED GAS CAN. I have been putting valve stems in my garden sprayers for a while now. just so I don't have to pump them up when i spray tobacco or degrease in the shop.

After having posted this so long ago, I FINALLY got around to "Fixing" my 5 gal. plastic gas can. It works just like in the video! And that is it works GREAT. Takes much longer to watch the video than to actually do the task. Didn't know if anyone else on here has tried it or not but it is the real deal indeed!
