| Just wanted to say hi to everyone and wish you all a Merry Christmas. I have not been on the forum during the last few months. My job was kicking my arse. I changed out of company command on 20 November, then took some personal time home in WV. 18 months of a very tough job, but a rewarding experience. My family and myself are moving to West Virginia in January. I got a job teaching cadets in the ROTC Dept at West Virginia University in Morgantown. Don't know how much time I will have for riding, but should have more free time to spend with the family than I had in 2012. The best part of the job is it's non-deployable for the next 2-3 years. After that, who knows where I will go. Haven't spent time with all my riding buddies this year like I had planned. I hope this year has been good to everyone. I am very happy that Mason is getting better, and hope to try and get together with some of you all soon. | |

Thank you Phil. I honestly know someone upstairs was really looking out for me. It has been the roughest year of my life I think. Several times I thought I wasn't resilient enough to see it through to the finish line. I had to do several gut checks, dig in, and get er done. It really was a sacrifice for Melissa and the kids. Most of the time I did not even see my kids during the week. AVG day for me was leaving the house around 5am and getting home between 8-9. I worked a ton of weekends. In the end though, I know my company was the best company in the battalion. I had the largest company in my entire brigade (170 Soldiers), and a property book valued at $40 million. It was a monster of a job, but the best job for logistics. I am better for the experience. | |

| Congrats Cap'n! That has got to feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders! I have a friend that was once the commanding officer of ROTC at Clemson, he says it was the best job he ever had. I know you will enjoy it. | |
