Dang MUDHOE, that looks like it hurts

Pam broke her foot, from my cane falling on it after my last hip surgery last summer. The broken bone was growing downward, so she had surgery last week. They rebroke it and put some kind of rod/pin through it. It was suppose to be lined up with the 2nd toe bone, but she kinda fell and moved it on top of the other bone and bent the end. She is a clutz on drugs. Don't know at this time if they are going back in again.

You can see the rod that is inside her foot is moved over the 3rd toe bone, not lined up next to the 2nd toe bone.

Still remember when I was 18, the cast man coming into my hospital room with a pair of pliars clacking them togethor to pull out the pins in my hands, with 2 broken legs, nowhere to go...only thought was...this aint going to be good......they probably don't do it that way anymore.

That sucks, Hope she gets better, and tell her to take it easy.

Tell her to take a big club with her and come to an agreement that this is not going to hurt when they remove the pin.

She is doing better today. She gets around on the knee scotter pretty good.

Pam, get better soon. Sorry you had to go thru this,really doesn't look comfortabls at all. I had a similar pin in my hand, two days before it was to be removed it simply fell out-no pain. Wishing you and Les all the best.

We went to the surgeon today. We told her the pin/rod came out a couple of inches the other day. She said to not push it back in if it comes out again. She said pull it out next time. Tonight it came out more than 2 inches, so I pulled it out. The pic shows it before I pulled it out.

It hurts me just looking at that! I hope she gets well fast!
