"Assault Weapons" is simply an invented term to scare the population and used by the government to disarm the people. Our founding fathers lived under the tyranny of King George and the Britsh rule. In their invinite wisdom they sought to make sure this did not happen here with the second amendment. The supreme has already ruled several times regarding "a well regulated militia" being the American population. Clearly this was the founders intent as witnessed by the quotes below by Thomas Jefferson.

"When the government fears the people there is liberty;
when the people fear the government there is tyranny."

truth is a militia would get their a$$es handed to them against our military.
Our only weapon against the government is to vote those you disagree with out. Only problem with that is the freeloading utopia nuts almost outnumber the producers

The question about a militia rising up to be heard is this... What percentage of the military would take arms against a citizen's militia?

As a military contractor I get to talk to a lot of military folks and by an overwelming majority they do not see eye to eye with politicians nor would they pick up arms against the citizens.

as alot of you know my baby brother is a LT. COL . in the army flying apache helicopters,, he has said that the military will never attack the american citizens who are family friends and neighbors. our worry is the u.n. troops from the small arms treaty they are trying to pass. he also says head shots only they have full body armor ! MAKE EM COUNT BOYS !!

and P.S. anyone can tell me why the dept of homeland security has bought over 1 billion rounds of 40 cal ammo in the past year ???
