The new QE Visco. Much better but no true locker.

Newer version still does not work very well. We were at Royal Blue at the end of March and had 3 Rzr's, a Honda Rincon, and a Can-am Commander 800R DPS. We got to a 20 foot muddy spot with a 12" diameter tree down in the mud. We all made it over but the 800R. It's Visco-loc QE would not firmly engage. If given enough throttle it finally started doing a crazy grinding. We ended up towing it backwards and using the chainsaw to cut a trail around. Wasted an hour. That was my experience with the new QE.
With that said I generally am a Can-am fan. I had a 2006 Outlander 800 (best ATV ever!) and a 2010 Outlander Max Ltd 800R (pain in but air suspension). I never had a visco loc issue but I tend to be very aggressive and hit rough areas with speed. I do love the Rotax power -- nothing else compares.
With the Visco issues I would still take the Visco over the Polaris Rzr awd. I have watched myself and many others have issues in downhill ice, snow, slick mud since the front wheels freewheel downhill. That is crazy and dangerous. When the rear end starts to pass the front you know it's not good.
