| Greetings from The Cabins of Elk Run. Dennis & I would like to introduce ourselves to those who don't know us. The western gateway to Brimstone, Elk Run is located on the entrance to the #2 Trail & close to trails #4, 10 & 88. Our regulars love the "quiet" side of the mountain and relaxed atmosphere of not having to trailer to trail heads. On your next visit stop by to say hello. | |

| Just because they are on the Brimestone list does not mean they are owned or supported by Brimstone. I for one don't see a problem with staying at or supporting any of the local businesses. | |

| Welcome to the forum Elk run, problem is as much as all of us would love to patronize your business, Brimstone Rec, by including you and excluding trailsend on their new bull shit rules for lodging have alienated much of your future business. Not sure you know about all this but read some of the topics, maybe you can help brimstone realize the error in discriminating against the riders. | |

| I think it would be in their best interest if all that is on the BS aproved list to get off, fair or unfair this is going to change everyones outlook on these establishments, I wonder if they thought about all the negative PR that this was going to give them. | |

| Welcome to the forum!!!
Guys, no need to be rude. What is going on between Brimstone and Trails End does not concern these folks.
I checked out your website and the cabins look nice. How many cabins do you currently have and what is the pricing?

| We were not asked or informed that Brimstone had any policy changes in mind or their plan to exclude TrailsEnd. We have always been independent of the Brimstone & TrailsEnd organizations. We have always supported both in making referrals if we were booked and received a call from someone looking to visit the area. We do not support the exclusion of any business within the off-road or greater community. | |

Thanks for your kind words. We are deeply saddened by the decension between Brimstone & TrailsEnd and truly hope THEY can work it out soon. We have two cabins. One sleeps 8 & the other sleeps four (five with a cot). Winter rates until March 15 - $106. per night for 4 people & $15. per person over 4. We do not charge a cleaning fee & require a one night deposit to confirm reservations.

| Elk Run Cabins, Glad to hear that you are not in support of these actions that are now being enforced!!!! Trails End has referred several folks to you when we could not accomodate them and I will continue to do so. Thank you again for making the above statement | |

| Your cabins look awesome. Only issue I see is that Brimstone is in the way location wise from groups riding together. Brimstone's new policy clearly states that if you stay at lodging other than approved sites you are no longer welcome / will be escorted of the property.
What this means is if a group as large as ours as people at both locations people from your cabins could ride Brimstone trails to come visit the groups staying at Trails End but not visa versa. Just a thought.
Sometimes more cabins are needed.

We do not charge a cleaning fee & require a one night deposit to confirm reservations. Just to bring you up to speed, the prevailing opinion im hearing is trailsend is being excluded as a ploy from mark love of brimstone to run them out of business, the fact that you and the other lodging places that were placed on the approved list were not contacted looks more like this is his intent and done just to hurt trailsend .Putting you and the other "list" places as the ONLY place a person can stay or they will not be sold a ride permit is pure discrimination. This List you are on has been made public on the ban brimestone movement and many off roading forums all over the country, It has thousands of people behind it, a large number of folks have already made brimstone refund their yearly passes and swear they will never ride brimstoe again, brimstones action has and will cost you money at what sounds like no fault of your own. Sort of catch 22 for you, problem being if you get most of your bookings from brimestone customers, to be removed from the list would mean people staying with you would be in the same boat as trailsend and not able to buy brimestoe permits. If it was my business put in this situation i would consult a lawyer and see what can be done. To show you what started all this, look here and see the email brimstone sent out a week ago http://us5.campaign-archive2.com/?u=80d4e02ee0987c7ab7e9a1813&id=551f4ed63d&e=01774b5ab7

| Welcome to the site Elk Run! Sorry that the current situation is causing such turmoil for you and we riders,Hopefully the situation that the Brimstone mgmt has stirred up can be resolved soon, then we can show you how we truly appreciate and support entitys that become our friends. However, Brimstone is currently attacking one of our good friends and unscrupulously using you and others as weapons against them, until we hear otherwise we will consider Elk Run as an unwitting/unwilling accomplice being used by Brimstone. | |
