| Well got fed up with the diesel. Not even 40,000mi on it and being in and out of the shop with big bills at least once a year since owning it. So after talking to BigD. I defected from being a Ford owner. Here is what i got. OH! and It's a Hemi! | |

| Nice ride. Not a fan of the ford 6.0 diesels. 7.3 was a good motor. Dam EPA sure is screwing up the diesel world anymore. See ya on Saturday.

| Should of got a 2006 to 2004.5 Duramax. I am like you though, my first diesel was the GM big block conversion. What a piece of junk. I did not touch another diesel for years. Hope the 2004.5 Duramax continues to be good to me. Scott hope the new truck serves you well. I just went over 100,000 miles on my 2007 Dakota work truck. No real big issues. | |

| I don't know much about the new mopars, but I will say there are about the sharpest trucks on the road today. Really love how the tailpipes are frenched into the rear bumper. | |

| I have a 05 f250 with a 6.0 with 130000 miles. Also have a 96 f250 with a 7.3 with 375000 miles. both have been great trucks. Dodge is suppose to come out with a 1/2 ton diesel truck later this year. | |

| So far 17.9 on the highway. Towed my trailer for the first time this morning for about 10 or so miles got 8.9 showing on gauge just to see how it did. It squats about 3-4 inches. but pulls well. But rides a little rougher. I'm going to put airbags under it for when i tow. Just to keep truck from squating so much and see if it improves the ride a little. It's should do ok for as much as i tow. Only time will tell how well it holds up. Hey Gimpy thanks for the pics. Mine was a 6.4 but just as problematic as the 6.0. Don't know if i'll get another deisel down the rode or not. | |

Heads up on the air bags. The last 3 sets I bought off of Amazon with free dealivery for a good $. I was told by several local vendors, that they stopped selling the Firestone air bags about 3 or so years ago because of problems. I have talked to others who say they have not had a problem with them. I have always used the Air Lift brand with no issues. I have had them on 4 trucks and have put them on several friends trucks too. My duramax squatted about 4 inches with the new trailer having 2400 lbs tongue weight and the 5er hitch in the bed. I run about 80 PSI to level out. | |

| nice truck. but there is one problem with gas engines and that is what i saw yesterday and couldnt help but to laugh. i was pulling a grade on i-75 south near exit 350 when a nice 2500 hd gas engine truck pulling a tube buggy on 44s was in the fast lane and as i started past him in the middle lane he gunned it to stay ahead and i just walked off and left him. (by the way i was pulling my 40 ft 12200lbs dry weight 5th wheel) i just had to wave. 6.7 litre ford diesel is the only way to go. i have had all of them except the 6.4 ford and this one is by far the best. | |

| I've heard that dog and the Mechanic dais the same thing. But a little too much for my budget. Cheapest 6.7 I found was $52,000 for a super cab. So i was looking at 3/4tons and they were about as much if you can find them. I wanted to get a 2500 dodge but kinda settled on this half ton. Already missing my CD player, leather, and climate control though. Still nervous how this trucks going to do on the steep grades in KY, TN, and when we go to WVA. with a 6,000lb enclosed loaded trailer. | |

| I had a 1/2 ton dodge like yours and it pulled my 30ft 7000lb camper just fine, although you will need air bag under it. | |

| nice ride, some day the wife will let me upgrade from the Pathfinder which has pulled 2 RZRs to Wagonwheel etc.. no problem. Only thing is it gets barely better gas mileage towing my buggy then I get with my 40' toyhauler with the V10 like 1-2 MPG
