| Well UPS showed up yesterday with some new toys , I got my wheels and tires i am stoked...... I went though hell to get these , i wanted polished ITP 7 seris. and ITP stopped makeing them..... i called i bet a hundred people, no one had them. finaly found a place that had one last set. just the offset i wanted 5-2 and 2-5. and got me a set of 27 XTRS 9 for the front and 11's for the back. got a 2inch highlifter. and man its big. i think its more like 3 inch gain. a 5 gallon bucket fits under it now with a inch to spare , i also got my top on. i think it looks awsome , its just the look i was looking for. my CDI is still on order. and now i got to get a winch, and i will be ready to hit the woods. here is a few pics , what do you think. :D Chris... | |

| Sweet...... Also look into the Maier splash guards from Hunterworks that go behind the front tires. I have them and the flares. Great mod for staying a LITTLE cleaner in the seat. | |

| Chris, I'd like a clearer shot of your rear boot-to A-arm clearence (outer) with that lift. Preferably on a jack with tires off the ground. I've seen reports of torn boots because of little to no space when you lift a rear-wheel with that lift. Some have had the problem, others have not. Looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!! |

Looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!! ridepate , i reserched it very much , cause i heard all the stories. here is what i found out. on a 07 and down , it is tight. with a highlifter you usualy have to grind the shock mount a little. on a 08 you dont have these problems. the spindle is a little different , because an 08 has alot bigger axals. i did not haft to grind anything. and i have plenty of clearence. when its topped out. its in the basement and there is no jack down there. and its pooring rain. soon as i can i will take it to the garage and get you some pictures..... Chris.... :D

| Airborn LT , i may end haveing to get a soft top like you have. i haft to put a peace of wood to push my garage door as high as it will go to get the rhino out since i jacked it up.... hell the roof almost hits the door frame. it a monster. with the tires and the lift its almost 6 inches higher than it was. i saw a rhino with 29.5 laws , and it dont look has high as this. but i got some ground clearence when i am in the woods....... i think the soft top looks cool . do you like it. I know i am Biased , But i always liked the way a Rhino looked, over the other brands........ Chris..... | |

| Yeah I like the soft top okay. It is nice for warm weather and all, BUT I am going to a hard aluminum top. 1- It is more durable 2- It does not stand to get ripped off going down the highway on an open trailer. I will gladly send you my soft top for your hard top if you like. | |

| I would say if you don't mind taking it off and on when you go down the highway, the soft top is great. You can take it off in a matter of 10 seconds if you want to get the sun down on you while you are driving. I actually put in a sound bar, and I don't want a tree limb to come thru that softop and into my speakers. The Dirt Performance top is the way I am leaning. It is very low profile and it also has a nice lip on the back to accomodate a rear dust guard. | |

Thanks clayboy , I talked to alot of folks. and thay seem to think 5-2 in the front and 2-5 in the rear was the best setup. alot of folks seem to be useing that. i figure it would be more stable on the trails. its only one inch wider in front. and the 2-5 rear brought the back out even with the fron. it seems to steer well. i was afrade i would loose alot of power going to 27's. you can tell a little on take off from dead stand still in high. but not much. from a 10 MPH roll i cant tell any lose. and in low range. it feels about the same on a hill i have out back. so i am happy with it.

LT i never really thought of it blowing off. i figured thay attached better than that. I like the Yamaha standard roof. i saw a SE black armor at the dealer, and to me the roof looked funny , had some sort of flat wing sticking off the back. it is a lower profile though. I may play hell getting it in and out of the garage, but i can climb over a log 16 inches tall..... Chris....

| Yeah, I know what you mean, it did look funny to me too. Yours looks sweet....... I only went over one log, but it was good sized. I did not measure it, but I did have to back up because I did not make it the first time. The steering wheel jerked out of my hands backing over it. I would say your GC could be an advantage, but also maybe a little disadvantage in off-camber situations. IDK, I have not gotten enough seat time to be an authrority. | |

| Well this was my thought exactly. going up would raise the center of gravity, this is why i went with the 2-5 and 5-2 offset. this sucker is alot wider than stock now, not to mention the wider tires. so i hope this will even things out. i was told the rhino is alot more stable with 5-2 and 2-5 offset over stock. I hope there right. but just off camber is all i am concered with. i ant going to be flying around and corners wide open. i am a woods guy. i will leave the cornering to the raceing guys. i want to crawl big rocks, and be able to get out of a rut , without getting high centered , and be able to get out of that deep mud hole. | A guy at Highlifter told me along time ago. the main advantage of being lifted , or bigger than others is this. when going on trails. if a guy in front of you gets stuck or diggs a rut to his skids. and you follow his same path. you wont drive in his ruts and bottom on your skids. you will drive over his tracks, and drive right though it..... and it keeps you from bottoming out in mud to... | I run 27's on my 07 and am happy with how they perform, but the only problem is when I get in the wifes 08 with stockers I feel like I'm in a sports car. I dont think I will go bigger than 26's on hers. I'm really leaning towards 25" Bighorns for the 08. Have not decided yet. I do really like the 5+2 , 2+5! | |
