You don't have to wear a helmet if it has a roll cage. I've ridden there a couple of times the past few months.

call before you haul, they close if to much rain, or who knows sometimes, made a dry run there once, place was closed. If you run fast there, the rocks will cut your tires.

Degree of difficulty is easy to sand rails only. My favorite time to ride is in the fall, when the lake is down and the shoreline trail is open. I live an hour from there, post up a ride sometime. 2200 acres total.

thanks for the info on the helments, gonna try and camp at piney campground and ride turkey bay sometime in may, it's almost impossible for all 3 couples to get off work at the same time, especially to camp and ride

This sounds good, children welcome? What kind of camp setup do they have?

We rode Turkey Bay this weekend. Had a blast!! Great camping!! (right on the lake) The riding was OK mostly rocky hills and a little mud. Loved riding the shoreline and watching the Jeeps and Rails. Best part was going up all the nasty ATV stuff in an ole beat up Rhino when the Built RZR's wouldn't even attempt it. Met some good people and had a great time!! I will post more pictures when Momma gets back, most of them are on her phone.

Glad you had a great time. Blue Holler this weekend is less distance than Turkey Bay.

I would love to try Blue Holler!! Just not feasible with work this weekend. Maybe next time. Let's get this "Family" ride going for June 7-9th.
