| Is this still open? We had a blast there when I was younger!! Loved the playground area and the river. Has anyone ridden there lately? I think you guys would LOVE IT!! Livingston KY. Exit 49 off I-75 is one of the trail heads, another one off HWY 80, HWY 1956 I think next to the Motocross park. Tell your stories!! | |

| It's been restricted for a long time. Many memories made riding dirt bikes there myself. | |

| Worst thing is pink rock was on private property and your tax dollars were used to blast it out. Around 2007 they spent $800k to do road improvements and lay gravel from pink rock down to the cemetery at the river. Took the Jeep there on New Years and ran guard rail since that is on private property and the Feds can't touch us there. Took about 9 hrs to do a 2 hr trail due to all the trees that were down. Old school bus is gone and you can pretty much drive a car back to almost the old cabin due to the grading of the road.

| That was a catch 22 since it was never legally open in the first place outside of what was the county roads before the USFS decided to take ownership of them like they have done in Slade. The USFS during the last decade bought up as much land back there as they could. Pair that with the previous sheriff of Laural County being a land owner back there, the Shellowtoe Trace Assoc, and the Endangered Mussels in the river and it is a recipe to keep everyone out except for hikers.
So very sad. | |

| It could have been what Evarts is today...more than likely bigger because of location to interstate! | |
