Ill ask around, i figured those things were long gone by now. I really like the ranger, but i just don't like sitting up so high. Everything else is nice tho.

Gonna try to wait til after the new models come out. If it means anything, I would not go back to an S model if they put a bigger motor in it. I will stick with the XP.

| Yeah thats what my riding buddies keep telling me, but theirs are lifted with 28-30 inch tires so the trailing arms don't really hurt them any. Thats the only thing that bothers me about them for rough rocky riding is the arms hanging out. I love the motor and suspension set up is great for the fast riding. | |

I've got the freaking station wagon version with just the stock 26" bighorns. No lift, no aftermarket springs, ect. I really haven't logged a ton of miles just been up to trails end on the group ride and went to one of our local parks here in AL. With high clearance trailing arms and lower radius rods you won't have a problem.. Infact I've went up stuff an S couldn't a couple of times. Granted mines a 4 and I really haven't followed behind a 800 4 to compare. I really don't think the XP will cause you any problems. And far as the width goes. I went from a 58" wide 800 to a 64" wide XP4.. I'm very happy. Its a tight fit here and there, But I wouldn't go back. Off camber stuff that would pucker my butt to the seat in my old rig is no big deal in the station wagon.. That 64" wide hurts you a little some times, But it also helps a lot in spots.. There are so many XPs running around on the trails now that one tight turn or that one tree that use to be in the way, ain't so no more. I will say one thing on a XP4 that does kind of suck.. If you come up on a very bad spot on a tight trail. Well then your SOL. Your hitting it cause there ain't not quiten. We came up on drop off with a rutted out hole that looked like a jeep with some 44" had been in.. We had already came off some pretty bad drop offs and ledges so there wasn't no backing out and no way in hell to turn around. FWIW though we drove right through, No winch not flopping over, ect. That is probably the biggest downside to the long ones. Its pretty tough to turn them around on tight trails..
