Ordered some new doors today

I didn't notice until I had gotten home, but like Big-R, I also smashed one of my little Holtz Racing 1/4 doors against that same tree. I was never really happy with them anyway. I like the fact that they leave the cockpit open but I was always dealing with a muddy left leg and now that the kids will be riding I wanted a little more protection. I like the Pro-Armor doors and the doors that Tman had, but I didn't like having to be totally enclosed. I also wanted something that didn't have the bow sticking out to grab any more trees. So after scrolling through hundreds of Google images I settled for a set of Beard doors.

They use a steel frame with a UHMW skin (the same material as the skidplates). They are also designed so that it becomes an ergonomic armrest. I think they have gotten away from the paddle latches and use some type of automotive latch. The guy at Beard said that he's never heard of any issues with the doors popping open. I also like that I can still hang my head out easily to see my left front tire. We'll see how well they hold up and how well the latches work but I think they will work out well for my needs. I got them through my local dealer for $575 and they should be here in a couple days.
