| Im looking into a future investment and kinda stuck between a bumper pull toy hauler (16-24ft) and a Class C motorhome (25ft give or take). I like alot of things about both. Most of the motorhomes ive looked at have the ford v10 engine in them, does anyone have experience with them? Really like the idea of being able to hook up to the rzr and go with a motorhome or for just camping trips take off. Also all the motorhomes have onboard generators. On the other hand the toyhauler is gonna be much cheaper and less keep up, not to mention not feeling as bad about tracking mud into it. | |

| only thing about the motor home is if you need to run to town or some where. extra motor drive-train to keep up. all or most toyhaulers campers you can get a generator built in. | |

| I'm always thinking about re-sale. The target-market for a motor-home vs. a toy-hauler. I would think the market would be bigger for a motor-home vs. a hauler. | |

I've thought on that also, but when i lean towards a toy hauler more then i wonder what would be better between a toy hauler or a enclosed and just have someone make me some cabinets and a bed for it. If i was good with that type of work, id just buy an enclosed and make my own.

| In this market I would look for a used toyhauler. I did the RV trailer thing, now have a RV that is a toyhauler. Both had the Ford V10 greta motor but the earlier models (prior to 2008) had issues with the transmissions I read somewhere. If I had my way I would tow a towhauler, not an option with my wife though
Also every time we go riding if I needed something in town, someone has a truck handy to take me.

| if it was just me i would have went with an enclosed trailer. but if your woman ant happy ant nobody happy. so i went with a toy hauler. im happy with it and use it on vacation and weekend outings without the rzr.
i wanted enclosed that would haul 2 rzrs and still have room to have a bathroom in the front. but with a trailer that long and time you add the stuff you want your looking at close to the toyhauler price.

| go with the toyhauler. motorhomes have drivetrain maintance plus like bush said it is a pain in the ass just to go to town for something in motorhome. and dont try to make a toyhauler out of enclosed trailer it tried that just by throwin air matress in and damn near froze to death at windrock in feb. even with a heater in there. | |

| I have had several of each. I got tired of the insurance on a motorhome. You pay just like another vehicle. I had to drive it every week just to keep it in good running condition, in my opinion. Lots more upkeep on the motorhome. Trailer has tow vehicle that you can drive daily to work if you need. | |

| I have a 29ft class C never had any issues tow 2 rides most of the time on a 20ft trailer you still have to have a 50,000 dollar truck to pull the toy-hauler maintence on the truck my insurance is about 900 a year on the R.V. & a pick-up its just what suits you | |

| We have tried a lot of different set ups and so far nothing suits everything. We currently have a class A diesel pusher towing a open trailer when we take the SXS's and the enclosed trailer when we have the street bikes. We can go to town on the bikes but not the SxS's.
The next go around, I think it is going to be a singled out class 8 truck. Just not sure what type of 5'er to put behind it. If it is singled long, 2 SxS's will fit on the deck (sideways). Then we will get a non hauler fifth wheel. Singled mid would get one on the deck and one in a hauler.
I even considered a 4 door 21' rollback and tow a bumper pull trailer. I looked at expediter (some folks call them hot shot trucks) type trucks with rear ramp. They generaly have larger sleeper areas but they are a big box!!
If it wasn't for the dog's, I would say screw it and go back to staying in motels and cabins. I would drive my everyday truck towing my open trailer. Go out to eat at night, I order what I want and she can order what she wants!!!!

| Alright so after hearing quite a few peoples opiniona im sorta thinking no on both. Now im back to thinking enclosed trailer. Found some that come insualted with AC unit. Throw some cabinets, sink, and a bed in it and it would be plenty for us. Everywhere we stay has bathrooms and showers so im not to worried about that although it would be a plus. I also seen where people are converting box trucks into rvs. They are pretty cheap too. Camped at windrock last nite and woke up with it pouring rain and thundering like crazy, wife freaking out and all our stuff soaked from the tent leaking like crazy. Also before that happened it was hotter than hell and i about melted lol. Ready for something i can have a nice DRY comfy bed. | |

| That trailer on u tube is pretty Jerry rigged, just saying. If your not wanting all the odd and ends of a camper an insulated Cargo trailer with an AC is a huge step up from a tent. You can always add cabinets, shelfs, ect as needed. I would also say keep an eye on craigslist. Decent toyhaulers pop up all the time as do cargo trailers and even some that have already been converted to campers.. Although if you dont' know anything about campers I would not buy a trailer someone has converted their selfs. | |

| Yeah Id be happy with just ac, cabinets, mini fridge and a bed. Everywhere we ride has bathrooms and showers. Mainly staying dry and a nice bed would really be great. I found brand new 7x16 v nose trailers close to my house for $3299. Thought that was pretty good. | |

| If you do go with a cargo and want to just buy your bed/s http://www.blazinbelltech.com/furniture.html sells some pretty nice setups.. Thats where I picked up my dinette that lays down into a bed. Our other bed I just made out of 1" square tubing and stuck memory foam mattress on it I got off ebay.. I hinged it to the wall using the same method blazinbelltech did on my dinette setup. | |
