| The Taiwanese (not to be confused with Chinese) are getting more serious... Their sport model is called the Snyper in Canada, and Zforce in the US. CFMOTO has added a 62.5HP 800cc fuel-injected twin to its line-up for 2014, available in both their sport/utility and pure sport machines. Not much info on the US site, but the Canadian site has a lot more. - Quote :
- The new 2014 SNYPER 800EX is equipped with a V-TWIN 800cc engine developing 63HP, ELKA shock absorbers and a CV-TECH transmission. Highly anticipated, the SNYPER’s performance will meet the expectations of the most demanding customers in terms of power and agility. It comes with an exceptional standard equipment package, a limited 5-year warranty and a brand new sporty design.
What isn't included in that quoted statement is the 14" aluminum wheels/tires, 4-point harnesses, 3500lb winch, horn/flashers, mirrors, etc -- at a Canadian MSRP of $13,500. No prices on the US site, at least yet. US: http://www.cfmoto.cn/side/details.aspx?productId=60Canada: http://cfmoto.ca/en/snyper800-eng.html Though their 500cc Rhino-competitor got good marks for reliability, it seemed late to market, and never quite took off. They now offer it with 600cc fi engine. They've also added a second, more utility 800cc model to compete with the Ranger. Seems they're going after the UTV market the same way that Kia and Hyundai attacked the US car market - very, very competitive pricing (considering the standard equipment) and a warranty that eliminates any concerns about quality or reliability. IMO, the big names in the business are pricing a lot of people out of the market with their $18-20K toys, and competitors can come in carve a niche below them, given decent products and a dealer network.. | |

| Wow, looks pretty good! The 5 year warranty does make it more interesting. What these companies need are people on the trails with them. Let them ride the crap out of one and see how the reliability is. Other riders will stop and ask questions and be able to see it up close and personel. The word will get around about them, good or bad. | |

| It resembles a RZR so closely I am surprised Polaris hasn't sued them over it. Reliability will be the thing that makes or breaks them. If they can make them reliable, people will buy. | |

| I would consider one for the options and price. if the reliability and service network would be up to par. Would also want to see what after market is available. But would want to see one first.

| I agree 100% we need cheaper options to bring the prices down.. The prices we pay for the machines we get is crazy. And they seem to keep going up even though companies like polaris are making record profits. I was glad to see the wildcat and maverick, But their MSRP didn't do jack as far as pricing war.. | |
