Borrowed a leak-detector, coil is leaking R-22. Condensation-rot. 10-years old and no problems until now. $600.00 coil on the way..............

| I have a big attic fan in my house in the hall. its got the big aluminum flaps that open when its on and close when its off , You know what i am talking about.... It still works like a charm. Great thing to have when you get smoke in the house from the fire place or burn something on the stove... New house's don't have cool stuff like that no more. My A/C broke one time. And thats what i did. Windows up and attic fan on. Without it you would die in there.... | |

| My Trane coil was made of aluminum and steel, which they start leaking within 2 years or so. Mine bills for the last year just kept getting higher. Mike Clark told me about it when he saw the unit. Leak detected it a few months back and replaced the leaking coil. | |

They have stopped making the coils now with that combo Les, just due to that problem. They are now all-aluminum with no steel to rust. The guys are here now replacing it....Thank goodness.

| A/c is a must in Ga. Glad it is not as hot as last summer but the humidity still makes it uncomfortable. | |

| Trane was still under warranty, but the coil costs $1,100 at the parts house, $800+ at the trane dealer with the air handler. Figure that. | |
