Has anyone ever had rear diff. problems with the 900xp ?

The rear diff and transmission are all in one on the 900, I have read about some bearing issues around 1500 to 2000 miles. By the pics I have seen it looks like the bearings are getting hot from lack of oil. Another thing is most of them seem to be out west where they can really run wide open for long distances.

EDGE22, did you get one of the new colors?.......

No I ordered the Titaniunm. The black perl looks pretty good but I cant tell how good it looks by the pictures on polaris's web site. I know I like the titanium one so I just went with it.

Thats my favorite color Then BLACK PEARL , I was just curious if on the black pearl or the orange if they
have made any changes on known problems??

I am still in the very first rzr that Polaris made. It is red with black doors but the only thing on the doors are scratches.

Cunny I hear Jerry cooks breakfast their on Sat mornings for the guests. You should check it out.
BTW I ordered a 1000 I hope it aint junk like some of the ones we have been reading about.

Here, this video will give you I nice Warm Fuzzy Feeling about it. It will help ease the feeling you have about it being "junk". But notice how they made this video in a junk yard - Its their attempt to make the 1K shine brighter but I swear it seems to blend in pretty good with all that other junk lol!

ours is in shop now for a total rear diff rebuild . bad bearings, axle ends, ring gear and pinion, we only have 800 miles and a hundred hours never been in mud or rode on road much.we're running 28'" tires.just wondering if anyone else has had problems like this ?

That video is just more of the same propaganda  that all the brands do, a million dollar film and editing crew can make anything look and sound like the best thing on the planet. In reality the 1000 has many flaws just like all the other brands do.If you like it, lay down the cash and be sure to get the extended warranty.

That video is funny.. Ground breaking? They came up with more HP out of a 900 engine to keep up with can am.. They added 18" of wheel travel to keep up with wild cat. Pretty sure the ripped off the wild cats ass end to haha. They beefed up the frame and cage a little cause everyone were calling them junk and the weakest of all of them. The front diff got stronger cause its always been a weak point on any RZR.. The 900s got a little stronger one, but guys with larger tires were still busthings them pretty easily.. If your going to stick 28" tires on a stock machine with 107 HP of course you better beef up the diff.. My biggest complaint is they left the peice of crap reverse chain the same in a machine with more torq, larger stock tires and more weight. The idea I can't pull someone out of a hole in reverse with my 900 is rediclous to me. Its hard to understand why they would add more load to an already weak point. You would think the 1k would atleast have a different chain. Or even dual chains like Turners fix.

The wonders of  video  You mentioned editing. They did a really poor job editing on that big jump. I would have liked to have seen how it REALLY landed, but you can tell they cut it out and put in a bogus landing for it. I bet the front shocks folded like tacos.  Laughing
