Radio problem Empty
PostSubject: Radio problem   Radio problem EmptySun Jan 19, 2014 3:29 pm

I have a Kenwood mobile radio. I last used it in November at Pickett. It was working a couple weeks ago. But today when I went to turn it on nothing. I have checked all the connections and fuses. Does anyone know if these radios have an internal fuse that I could open it up and check?

They usually have a very small fuse soldered to the board right by where the main power wires are soldered to the board. If will probably look like a surface mount resistor, and about the size of a pinhead...

Thank you Hobbz. After some more digging. I removed the quick connect plug and it works so their must be a short inside the plug. At least this is an easy fix.
