The trailing arm is not the problem. When the shocks were rebuilt the they used too soft springs for the weight. They also changed the shock bumpers which are also too soft. When the shock bottoms out and the suspension is loaded something has got to give. That's the problem with 4130, even though it's much stronger it tends to break rather than bend. $hit happens when you play tough with your toys.

No worries, all is good. It was probably because I put a red gas can on her Jagged X blue machine Still need to order a "blue" kerosine can to replace the red one

| I know what the problems was... I wasn't there so the black cloud picked another jagged x... LOL Sorry to here about the bad luck. I think the black cloud jumps from jagged x to jagged x. I finally got mine all put back together this weekend. I ended up putting new super dave's bushings in the front as well as a gusset kit from to strengthen all of my arm tabs. Good luck on fixing everything.

| Upon closer inspection last night, I don't think the shock bottomed out. I never felt it bottom out nor any hard hits. I think the shock bent as a result of the trialing arm breaking. You can see at the top of the shock where the top screws on how it's been tweaked. I think the shock was bent back, the resovior hit the frame and bent inward toward the spring.
Talked with ORB and Justin is sending new redesigned arms out today.

| Remember when some of us on here were suggesting Zbroz trailing arms I agree that it had nothing to do with the spring rate but what was your spring rate? Just wondering. | |

| That hurts. At least you were able to get it out of the woods. Do the other aftermarket manufacturers use 4130 tubing? Or are they mild steel DOM that will bend instead of breaking? | |

That arm broke then shit happened. I have to agree with what 8 ball said about trailing arms.... Nope, was not the shock no doubt. Tim is great guy, got a new set of rear shocks headed his way. The arm broke right behind the angle iron welded to the bottom of the arm. There is a ~3" gap between the re-enforcement angle and the lower tube. Created a weak point and metal fatigue caused it to break. Could not see this happening on a two seater but the extra weight of the four took it's toll.
