new yamaha

Anyone hear anything new?

Just hearing that quick rev of the engine lets me know it is not a one lunger.

3 cylinder confirmed.



Looks like single exhaust and A-Arm suspension by looks of the shocks. So close together at top suggests long travel.

i bet they will start dropping more hints to keep people waiting and not going with a turbo rzr

I bet you're right Bush. I'll also bet that if it is anywhere competitive with a XP1K's performance and suspension that there is going to be a glutton of used XP1Ks hit the market, and if it is priced less than an XP1K then watch out!

Well, we have all been saying...... if they set up we switch and I bet they are counting on it.

Going to be pretty damn hard to top the new Turbo RZR....

Right now that thing is in a class by its self.

There's no doubt that it is Chris, and I would be surprised if the Yamaha is anywhere close to 144hp. But if the 3 cylinder can crank out 120 hp it would be more than a stock XP1K and be more than what any of us East coast guys would need.

Im really excited to see what yamaha does. I may just buy one and add it to the fleet

Right now i doubt they will top Polaris. But i would just be happy to see them
going in the right direction. At least get in the game so to speak.
We already know they have the ability to compete in the sport market. if they want to.
They just got to want it....

I would be happy to see real good suspension , at least 13 to 14 inch of ground clearance
and at least over a 100 HP , and that would be a damn good start.

We will see in 2 months...

over at the big forum said they had several Canned Hams
and may convert to the Turbo Polaris , cause the Canned Hams were

and read the turbo thread. Don't get mad at me , I am just the messenger..

For one thing I don't believe half the stuff people comment on forums especially on the big forums. I know all problems I had with my rzr. And that's the reason I may never own another.

The more info that comes out, the more I think Yamaha is not kidding around. Three cylinders are no joke and it definitely looks like long travel. For the first time in a long time I am very interested in what Yamaha is up to.

Well , I guess we wait for the big Revel in September.
And see if Yamaha is really serious or just smoke and mirrors..
I really would love to see Yamaha get in the game. I doubt it will be a
game changer in its first year. But like i said , if there serious. I know
they can build the most quality machine out there , If they want too...
Hopefully , these last few years they just been setting back and taking notes.
And look at others mistakes , and solved them from the get go...

I own a few different quads and have had 2 sxs's , It would be hard for me to buy another Polaris, I like my Can Am, but if this Yamaha is what it appears to be, I will have one. I really don't understand the bashing of brands, it seems to happen alot, I heard some of the comments the first time I rode with some of the people on this forum, but it seemed kind of funny at the time, now it's just old.

its all in fun. alot of us have been riding together for years and we pick on each other.

Bush, I didn't get offened, I had a great time, wish I could have stayed longer.

Yamaha was at Windrock again last week.Supposedly filming a commercial.Of course they had the trails blocked so that no one could see anything.
