| Have an issue with a family members phone. Anyone know how to recover a deleted hidden app. The so called experts around here are saying they can find it, but have not been able too. The phone was Jail Broken, then had Cydia put on it, along with a hidden app. It got deleted by someone, but should not have.
This is very very important to us. Some say deleted apps are recoverable, but deleted hidden apps are not. We just want to see it or see where it was deleted. Not been able to find it. I cannot go into great detail of why we need it except through a PM.

I am not sure how to check it, but the guy who deleted it says that it is gone. That sucks because I paid him to only look and find it. Big costly mistake he made for us.

| If you know the name of the app, go to the app store and do a search by the app name. If the app store can locate the app, then look usually upper right, there will be a iCloud symbol. If the iCloud symbol is there, click on it and it will reload. I know nothing about jail breaking and I would think someone else has already tried what I am suggesting to do!! | |

| I just did a quick search on "Cydia". It appears to replace the Apple app store with it's own apps. iCloud will not be of any help to you!! | |

| My first thought is to check whatever pc was used to install the app with Cydia in the first place it may still have the app. The issue is the phone was jailbroken, copies will not reside in icloud or iTunes. When an app is deleted, it is not removed, merely flagged as available to be overwritten. There are tools in the pc world that can recover, I have not found the need for phones. | |

| If the phone was/is still being used after it was deleted chances are its gone for good. It also depends on how it was deleted. You can use programs to delete items that won't just delete them but will do several writes back over that section so it can not be recovered. On a PC its pretty easy to recover deleted files as long as they werent scrubbed. But like baditude said I have no idea on a phone. If it was on an android with an SD card it probably wouldn't be a big deal. | |

| If you have a ITunes account and have done a back up you might be able to go in and do a restore. | |

The app was found in Cydia under hidden apps. When he searched the files, under hidden file names, he found it (MSPY). Again we only wanted him to find it, not delete it, but he did. We cannot get to the PC that was used for the retrieving and snooping and cannot get Johnny Law to go further without them seeing the hidden app on the phone.
