Found out today as of Oct. 1st I have no job..

We had a meeting today at the plant I work for, several of us were told as of Oct. 1st they were cutting 22 salaried jobs, ( I am salaried), and 110 hourly jobs. Just one more casualty of the economy.

Yall keep me and my family in your prayers, I will be looking for employment starting Monday.

If the wife didn't have the pretty good job she has I would be looking for a job in East Tenn.!!

I really hate that for you, it's a low blow, especially after you have given more that expected. Those up top making the decisions are only looking at numbers ( in most cases).
It would not be too bad if the pain was spread, but ( in most cases) the CEOs keep getting the multi million dollar bonuses, even if they wreck the company.

Out prayers are with you and you will find something else as you can't keep a good man down.

i know how it feels to be jobless it happened to me a few times but keep your head up it will all work out in the end i got a new one makin more so just keep a truckin and you'll eventually pull through....ps dont piss the wife off seein how she'll be the money maker now :<banned: just tryin to get some smiles out of a bad situation

Ya know, they always say when one door closes another opens up.
I believe that to be true as it's happened to me many times.
Keep your head up, don't worry too much about it, and something good will fall in your lap.

I have been in Process Comtrol for the last 11yrs, before that I did everything on the plant floor at one time or another. I work for a rubber manufacturing company called Excel Polymers.

A lot of times it's a blessing. I know it hurts but hopefully it will turn into something better in the long run. Just start looking and sending out resume's and something will turn up that will make you happy. Good Luck.
