New RZR Auxiliary Fuel Tank Empty
PostSubject: New RZR Auxiliary Fuel Tank   New RZR Auxiliary Fuel Tank EmptySat Oct 04, 2014 3:13 pm

Looks like this could be an option for RZR owners having to carry extra fuel on long rides, thought I'd share.

"IMS Products, the leader in aftermarket fueling systems, is proud to announce the availability of the IMS RZR Auxiliary fuel tank. The Polaris RZR sets the performance standard for SxS vehicles but its one flaw is its fairly low MPG. While stock MPG may not be terrible, we imagine most owners are like the staff at IMS, and no vehicle is ever left stock!  Engine mods make more speed, burns more gas, and now hardcore Polaris owners exploring boundaries are limited by fuel consumption. Fortunately, the IMS RZR Auxiliary tank plumbs a whopping four (4) additional gallons into the OEM fuel system providing 12 gallons of exploration fuel. The IMS RZR Fuel Tank system provides a generous five (5) additional gallons to the stock fuel capacity bringing the total to over 12 total gallons for the 900 (2009-2014) series. Tanks may both be filled using OEM Filler or they may be filled individually, the fuel automatically transfers back and forth between the tanks, no additional steps necessary and the tank is also completely hidden once installed. For 35 years, IMS has relied on its employee’s riding experience and Factory Off-Road riders and teams for testing development. The IMS Products Polaris RZR Fuel Tank can be purchased at dealerships nationwide or online at www.imsproducts.com ."

Thats cool IMO.. Yeah its a little expensive for whats pretty much a custom molded 5 gallon gas can. I am kind of curious how they connect the two tanks together. If I was one of those that seem to always run low on fuel Id consider it. As long as I fill up before we head out I have not had to much problems. I use to carry a 2.5 gallon jug in my 800 and never had any concerns with fire.. Now in the 4 seater I have a 2 gallon rotopax mounted on a storage box in my back seat. Its bullet proof and doesnt leak a drop. They do cost a little more, but they don't leak and they don't blow up like a ballon in the sun.
