I'm not sure who your sources are but you've been spot on in the past. However Honda has never been known to push the envelope aside from funky transmissions. It will be interesting to see what they have come up with but I'd be surprised if it was anything other than a six seat Pioneer that rivals the size of a pickup.

I have heard that Honda has some kind of new SXSs more than one in their R&D department. Don't know details other than I was told it looked pretty cool and this came from a non sxs riding person so I'm not sure of his definition of cool. but he hated the look of the pioneer.

Honda has all kind's of SxS in their R&D. I've heard a person I ride with that works at Honda mention some he has seen. They key is most will never make it to market. I think they do it to test their engineering.
For what it's worth a Honda SxS has to endure 40 or more hours on a shaker without any damage. My understanding is a Rzr makes it about 8....
