| I have been eyeballing the Dirt Commanders for months. They are finally out........not too heavy. Only thing that concerns me is that GBC is known for undersizing their tires. Dirt Devil and DDII have both been cited as being barely 25" when listed at 26". I have narrowed my search to 3 tires, DC, XTR and the Terracross. I am leaning heavily towards the XTRs. I really like the Dirt Commanders tread though. | |

That is a reason to get them. Smaller tire =more bottom end. This is a positive.

| But, on the other hand, if you want a 26, buy 27s. :) | |

| OK... I ripped a Mudlite XTR this weekend and watched a BigHorn rip another weekend. I'm ready to try the 8ply Spartacus. I like the fact that they are lighter and run smaller than the Bighorn.
Anyone know the best place to get the GBC Spartacus in 25x8x12 and 25x10x12? I need 2 of a set shipped to King NC 27201.

| And I would go with the Spartacus over the Grim Reaper. I just like the tread design better than the GR. I like those Dirt Commanders too. | |

| Just put on a set of 27" Grim Reapers on the Prowler. They measure a true 27" with 15 lbs. of pressure. I haven't got many miles yet just some time in the snow and down the gravel road at 58 mph. They handled like a dream from a crawl to wide open. Here is the tread pattern, really surpised that they are directional. [img] [/img] They climbed this snow pile with ease whereas the stockers would have spun out less than 1/2 way up. [img] [/img] | |

| those GR's look like the only contact patch of the tire is that tread going right down the center, unless you would get in some mud
I do like my duros but i have punctured a sidewall, not sure on what

| The grass and dirt you see are off the floor in the shed I pulled into, the contact patch is pretty good size for a 9" tire. I also need to play with tire pressure yet. [img] [/img] Of course time will tell along with some trail time. | |
