| I have 2013 900 XP which was bought new at Abernathys. Also the service contract was sold there too. It's with Western Service Contract Corp. Here's the problem....the steering rack is broke and needs replacing. Well Abernathy's is 5 hours away and trying to find a dealer who will honor this contract closer to me. I have called Abernathy's and Western and I'm getting the run around. Has anyone else had problems like this with them???? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. I have in the past fixed other things out of pocket that would have been covered......this time I'd like to get some use of the warranty that I paid for!!!! | |

| It's issues like this that is the precise reason why I will never buy any type of service plan or extended warranty. These things are huge money makers. Sorry you are stuck in that predicament Richard, but from what you described you may end up having to have Abernathy's do the work. This is also the reason why I like to buy new machines from the local dealer. I may end up paying a couple hundred dollars more at the front end but they are much more apt to have my back when any issues do arise.
Maybe you could get Abernathy's to have a new steering rack drop shipped. It's not that big of a deal to replace them. If they aren't willing to do that I would look into getting a Rackzilla, much heavier duty replacement.

| if you don't get any results, and you have'nt used it yet, you might cancel your policy and get a refund??? ( if they won't honnor it elsewhere ) | |

| When I bought mine at Abernathys I also purchased the western branch contract. Being that they are 6 hours away from me also I called my local dealer when I got home to ask if they accepted western branch, and they didn't. Ended up getting my money back on the western and purchasing the polaris warranty from my local dealer before the first 6 months is up. Hopefully you have better luck, but I think any dealer should honor the warranty no matter where it came from. | |

| I bought mine from Abernathys. I ended up buying the popo warranty from local dealer because I had heard it was hard to find a dealer locally that sells the western contract. Maybe westerns webpage will show some dealers local to u that they work with. If not Id be calling western everyday to get problem solved or a refund. | |

| update.......I talked to the salesman at Abernathys yesterday and he got me the name and cell number for a representive for Western. I called him and he found a dealer close to me. I called the dealer and I'm taking it to them today. I will let y'all know what they say.......I'm concerned that the dealer may have a problem covering it because the RZR has been modified. But I do have a name and number for Western other than the 1 800 number........so if anyone else needs it! | |

| I'd recommend putting all the stock stuff back on that you can. Even Polaris' warranty is a stickler about mods voiding your warranty. | |

| Here is the deal with that. I've got the same warranty and I also got mine from Abernathys. The thing is any dealer can use that warranty. My regular dealer told me the same thing that they don't use western. I called another dealer where I bought my first RZR from. They said yep they will I told them my reqular dealer doesn't deal with western. They point blank said they were just being hard to deal with cause its not a warranty from them. They told me any dealer can do warranty work with western. All you do is call their number and give them the contract number... They ask you to send pictures of the machine and an invoice for the repair. Then with in a day they either approve or deny the claim.. Anybody can do it. They just can't type your vin into their system and show the warranty info like they can with the polaris warranty. They have to dial a phone number and give western the contract number. Its in your paper work but you can also call abernathys and they can give it to you.. I did this in my dealers parking lot cause they were telling me my warranty was up..
But like others said. Doesn't matter what extended warranty they will deny the claim for after market parts. Both require pictures of the machine. If your steering rack is bad, and have different rims tires, a arms, axles anything they can and probably will deny the claim. I had a bad voltage regulator on my 900 and a broken axle. They approved the regulator but denied the claim on the axle cause I had Zbroz trailing arms. I kind of knew they would and already had a replacement axle. It wasn't worth the trouble putting my stock arms back on over an axle.. If the transmission or front diff would have been shot then yeah I would have put it back all stock before taking it in..

| good luck. It always seems that some dealers out there don't like to honor the warranty. I deal with Performance East. They always take care of me. They are almost 2 hours away but they are worth it. The local dealer here won't honor any extended warranty at all. | |
