Riding Windrock May 23 and 24

Subject: Riding Windrock May 23 and 24 Sun May 10, 2015 1:40 pm

I figured most people will be at the Full Throttle event but was just wondering if any one else will be riding Windrock on May 23 and 24. Me and a friend will be up there riding with the wife's and kids. Also what trails in order from the parking lot of Windrock to the Dam while staying on easy to moderate trails. Will be riding a Maverick Max and a Teryx 4 all for the most part Stock.

I don't know where the dam is.

I've done some research and I believe it's on T24.

Yes it is on T24. P1 to T24 is the route.

If all you want to see is the dam, you can leave your truck running in the parking lot. You can be there and back in no time!! To get the best view, you would take T-2 to T-24. There is also a overlook that you will probably want to make a stop at before the dam (going this direction). After the overlook you will be able to see the stacked boulders as you are rounding a left turn.

Halfmoon is correct, you can take P1 up to T-24. Not knowing where the dam is at, you would ride over it and keep on going without seeing it!! Now you could skip T-2, take P1 to T-24, ride in to the overlook, turn around and backtrack back out to P1 and now you will see what you missed!!

Are you still coming up to ride this Sat & Sun? I was supposed to ride with someone else Sat., but they had to cancel at the last minute. I still want to ride, could I join you on Sat.?

What did you think of Windrock? The rain Wednesday night helped the dust a little on Thursday but Friday was a different story!!

We had a good time a lot had changed sense we had been there last about 9 years ago. Gravel roads were dusty but the trails weren't to bad. We rode 24,11,9,12,13,16,50,51 and some gravel roads in between. I might have forgot 1 or 2 trails. The end of 16 was a little tricky same as 12. It's really a nice place.
