I think you have to ask yourself which first year buggy you would rather take your chances with, a Polaris, or a Yamaha? I see that the turbos are having overheating issues already, and no one has yet to drive the Yamaha. If it were me, I would prefer to take my chances with the Yamaha. I think in the end the Yamaha is just going to cost a LOT less money.

turbos are useless in the woods imo, they need the speed to keep cool, in the woods poking along, just asking for it to run hot

We know its fast. But in the woods is a whole different story. A lot different than going down the street.... We all know an RZR will climb like a spider. The question is , Will This Yamaha do as well... Just saying...
My point being , You know how we all been in that tight spot in the trails in a bad way where your inching forward and back to try to position your self , in the Yamaha with a clutch , how well will that work. are you going to sit and ride the clutch and burn it up , those are the things i want to see , before i jump ship.. I really don't care that it runs 80 mph. I want to know how well it go's 2 mph over super rough shit...

One thing to keep in mind is that Polaris really upgraded much of the drivetrain in the turbo, like diffs, prop shafts no more reverse chain etc.. That would be my reasoning of buying the turbo over the standard 1000 then you have the Highlifter to consider. From what I have read about the YXZ 1st is a granny gear or very low... you can burn out from a dead stop in 3rd. Reason that is important is low gearing. I don't think with the Rekluse clutch there will need to be clutch feathering over the really rough stuff.

I'm surprised they didn't use a automatic clutch setup on these just for that reason

I read somewhere there is a clutch you can put in it where you don't have to use the clutch to stop and start , but its about 2 grand....
