Got a chance to drive one today. Awesome ride but not for our trails. Wife talked me into Popo highlighter model... She told me to put some Rocktanes on it .. Lol

Can't argue with the boss.

Ridepate, not this year feller- maybe next year but not this time a-round - trust me, I did more than just sit in one.

The property-deal.....They want wayyyyyy toooo much and won't budge (Right now). Somebody will try to get it perk-tested sooner or later and the price will drop...lol. I know the property and have friends on the same river. A septic-pump station system is required to build on it. About 30k alone.
And Jerry, I'll buy when and what I want.........

Yes i been reading many topics coming out about how its great in the sand but the gear thing just isnt getting it done in the woods, big disappointment i was hoping it was going to be something other than another turd from Yamaha. Hopefully after the first year model comes out they tweak the gears to make them have more grunt.

First gear can go as slow as 6 mph...anything less ya better start clutching it.

I'm a pretty good study..........Double-clutching is not a problem....

Though I've been hoping and wishing for Yamaha to finally get back into the game, I wasn't as thrilled with some of Yamaha's choices on their new SXS. To be fair, I haven't driven one and maybe the stuff they did was set up right after all. I guess we'll see.

Regardless, when you get yours Jim, I hope it's exactly what you want and works for you. At the end of the day, I don't give a shit if you bought a Mattel buggy, as long as you're riding, we're all good.

The new Yamaha got smoked my stock rzr1000 in the drag races at windrock jam.

well top speed means nothing in the woods, need two drivers with balls to go up the stair steps in each then we can see if its worth a hoot in the woods.

What made you change your mind? Honestly, as much as I respect Yamaha's quality, I think I'd wait until the second year. Just not thrilled with what I've seen so far... not to mention, I know you don't like Polaris but one advantage is if you do break down, there's enough PoPo's around that have spare parts.

If you broke something on the Yamaha in the woods, you're screwed for now...

Id back out on it to, hadn't even hit the showrooms good and its already been proved it cant hang with a RZR.

Had nothing to do with "what it can hang with" Gunny. I've never had a problem hanging with anyone in anything....It's called talent. Until Yamaha makes it a little more woods-friendly without having to spend big-dollars to get it there. I'm just not interested. I'm eyeballing this for now...

Well Honda has upped the pig feeder bar for sure, as to hanging, Talent has nothing to do with it I was talking about the machine itself wont cut it in the woods even close to a rzr, and it can't even do it in the sand either looks like from the videos that are showing up.

I've heard from a Honda employee (Designer/Engineer not sales monkey) to hold on.  Before mid 2016 the sport 1000 will be out.   That will be the ticket.  Slightly more tuned Africa 1000 engine with same tranny as in Pioneer 1000.  I do like the Pioneer 1000 5 but can't wait to see the sport version...

I'm just a sucker for the underdog-pig feeders. Never been left-behind in one yet....

Id rather have the Honda as the new Yamaha, Honda shit lasts.
