| it sucks that it done it on my trip to evarts and i ended up leaving early because of it but i gess it my falt it happed. i put an new sheave on and i gess i didt get the nut tight enuff and it backed off and stripped the threads on the shaft. it done this the evening before i left to go to evarts and i thought i had got the nut back on the threads good and tight but i gess the fixed primary sheaves splines had done striped and thats what ate and broke the the 2ed belt . the threads on the shaft are not to bad so i am going to try and use a die and clean them up but the fixed primary sheave splines are shot. | |

| Make sure you get the washer seated around the splines of the shaft. That can cause the nut to back off too. | |

| Which sheave did you have, the one from Hunterworks? Just curious. I have had my clutch apart in my King Quad (same setup) and it was advised to me to hear the primary sheave "click" into place on the primary output shaft splines. I was always really careful when putting it back together. Hate to hear you ruined the sheave. I know they are not cheap. You still have the factory one to fall back on? I just hope you didn't ruin the shaft. That would be a bear to change I would think. Best of luck. | |
