09 models get fuel injection! also new Sport model

Sucks for all those that bought the first year models, but 09 gets SFI, sequential fuel injection, also a new Sport model coming out. see the info on new models here

i wonder if the sport looks any diffrenet or if it just has sport stamped on it

I figure the reason they have not announced it yet was to try to get rid of the stock of 08's before nobody wants them. Everyone will want the fuel injection.

sucks for all those that bought the 08s, the 09 will have fI and upgraded belt system and a few other bugs worked out.

it happened to me when I bought an 07 660 rhino in may of 07....

freaking October of 07 was when the efi 700 came out :evil:

the 09 t-rex should be a lil better than the 08's.

I just bought the 08 because I could care less about efi and it's $2000 cheaper.
Maybe if I lived some place were efi made a diff then I would have thought about it. But for my use

Congrats on the new Teryx roadie. We need to get more Teryx owners riding with us.

09 got more than just EFI, full digital dash with fuel gauge, revamped cvt to get rid of 08s problem of burning up belts along with a better and higher belt vent system and warning system if belt slips, all models get the dump bed feature and a little more HP, and revamped ECU with different timing to add low end and mid range power, price is 1000.00 more on msrp but it would be worth it for sure.

I got the 08 SE for $9500. OTD =$2000. less for me. Not to be a wise ass but when does it stop being worth it? $1000/$2000

I went through the same thing when I bought my Rhino. It may only be $1000 more msrp, but in the real world of the showroom right now it is $2-3K more. Then it is not worth it. When I bought my Rhino in Sept. 07, I bought my 660 for $8700 out the door. I could not touch a 08 at the time for less than $10,400. $1700 for me at the time was not worth the upgrades. Now you can get an 08 rhino for $9200 if you look hard enough. Now that would be worth it. But then again i've seen some left over 07 660's that are going for $7500 right now. So the $1700 difference is still there.

Its all in what ya like. I personally considered the TERYX, but I shy away from first year models. I wanted a King Quad so bad I could taste it when they came out in 05, but I bided my time. Lots of the 05 models ended up with transmission problems, tie-rod problems, engines not lasting because of faulty design in the air filter, etc. Not to say that the TERYX will have those problems, but lots of guys would agree that in this market improvements are going to keep coming every year. The first year TERYX does seem to have some belt issues just by cruising other forums. But I have talked to a few owners that love it and are saying it is the best thing since sliced bread. So in the end, if you are happy and you got a good machine that is dependable, then who cares? I personally would like to drive one to see what all the buzz was about. I got the first year EFI Rhino and I think the power is okay, so if the TERYX is that much more of a powerhouse then I am sure I would be pleased. I have also heard they are much better than a Rhino in the suspension dept.

The 09 must be wet and the 08 dry weight

The only reason I got Teryx is because a friend of mine has a BF 750, and never takes care of it. No problems at all..........
I also have a friend with a RZR nothing but trouble So I figure it's time to try a Kawie I never had any trouble with
the Rhino.

08 is listed as dry weight and the 09 is listed as curb weight.

And that means ???????????????

Curb means full of fluids.

so they are basically the same weight im sure dry-->dry they are damn close

Worth it is relative, to me the things that stopped me from buying a 08 was the fact many people were having belt issues, I also did not like that if you bought the base model you got no dump bed, digital dash and the fact none had gas gauges. Also the heat issue ive heard about. The 09s seemed to have addressed all of these first year issues so to me a msrp of 1k is a great deal, the EFI Alone is worth that, also you bought a 08 at the end of the year which is why you got a good deal, the 09s will most likely be much cheaper at the end of their model year too. Ive bought first year production vehicles and have learned its a crap shoot as to if you got a great deal or a great deal of problems. Very many 08 teryx owners are happy but a lot are not, hope yours being a later in the year model will do you well.

20 hours so far and loving it. The FI I really dont care about but I would like a gas gauge.

I work at a Kawasaki & Suzuki Dealer now part time during the school year and full time in the summer....I am thinking about getting the 09 Blue one...I like it...
