| it was a decent debate - but nothing earth shattering... and as with most pres debates - both sides declare victory - a victorious debate is about as clear as a college football national champ.
the rumor about dumping Biden has been circling uncredited net sites for awhile now - no truth to speak of... it would be a death move this far into it...no way it happens.

| Can they just dump their running mate like that? I think Obama messed up when he didn't pick Hillary. She had the experience, & knows the ropes...plus Bill would be in the background. | |

| Hillary clearly didnt want the job - she's already been vp twice now she made it clear she wanted to be president - not the vp. Obama had no choice but to try and work an experienced dem - and Biden was the only one really worth a damn out of all the choices... Again, there is no way they dump Biden...they made their choice, its too far into the process. Besides if they did it - it would be viewed as admitting they made a mistake in choosing a running mate - which is the president to be's first job - you CANT screw that up... though I dont like the Palin choice the McCain camp made - its a damn political ploy and I dont like it.... Yes I like Palin - but IMO there were way too many other choices for a running mate - and if the camp had to have a woman - there are many choices there too with far more experience...just not real happy with the choice - though they have my vote. | |

| I like Palin. I think she has the character that is needed to put Washington on it's ear. We have not had a President since Reagan who has been able to take the issues directly to the people and call the Congress to account. I think she has the record that proves that she can help McCain do that. I hope we get to see. | |

| I too think she has a strong personality - and will certainly not hesitate to call someone out....
HOWEVER....
She has a true lack of credible experience.... and it will rear its head (probably in the first vp debate)
the good news - the VP generally does not carry a ton of weight when it comes to the candidate at the top of the ticket (except for Mondale/Ferraro) I think people will vote for Obama and/or McCain based on them - not their mate....
I just wish the McCain camp chose a young up and coming WITH experience....
