| After having water up to our waist and my wife not being able to get up because of the seat belt then just as she was getting dried out having about five gallons of muddy water come over the hood and dump in my wifes lap she wants her own. So im going to paint the 450 pink for her and get the new 700 Midnight armor rhino . I just have to sell the Buell first. | |

| Thats how great minds work. I sunk my 6 month old Vinson so I could get the rhino. She will like the pink. Are you gonna have it dipped. The maier plastics fade terrible. | |

| Mu ha ha. Yes, the plan is working, That and she had a blast and just wants her own.
Im going to paint it myself at work. Dupont Imron. It holds up well and is a single stage paint that look good. It will cost around $40 bucks to paint it.

| I had the same problem brother! We were down at Evarts one nite and a nite ride was startin to brew and I had already gotten into the cooler and wanted to go. I asked the wife if she wouldn't mind driving us on a nite ride and that's where it all started! She drove and had a blast! Long story short, We now have 2 Rhino's (money pits) and I could not be more happy! | |

| Yep its a done deal when I get the Buell sold. So for now Im going to build up the 450 so the wife has every thing she needs on it. If she does not want it I can transfer it over to the 700. I also need a bigger trailer to. I might not get the Midnight armor because a friend is trying to locate one right now and I don't want the same thing so I may do a custom color on mine Maybe a dark pearl green or a flat candy apple red color. Maybe I will put up a poll of different colors when I get ready to do it.
Paint prep.- 3M makes a strip for removing wax and dirt then I will 220 it dull then us a DuPont primer that works on plastic (same stuff they use on plastic parts for Tuners and motorcycles stuff like that.) then 2 coats of DuPont Imron and one coat of Clear. I will take me about 3 hours to do. We use it on boats so I know it will hold up for a long time.

- Hey Clutch,
Do you have to wet sand the color coat before spraying the clear as in a regular paint job??? I may paint one set of plastic for mine also... NO Nick I'm not painting it PINK for your wanna be girlfriend... LOL LOL I would make a good son-in-law my dad painted 3 sets of plastic for my friends plus mine and they hold great if u take your time and do it right..If your painting with the fushion paint do this... step 1... wet sand the plastic with a scotch brite pad really good step2... put a light coat on the plastic step3... let dry and wet sand again step4... put another light coat on and repeat till you get the finish you want but DO NOT GOB THE PAINT ON OR IT WILL NEVER DRY!!! put light coats on step4... wetsand very lightly till the paint is smooth.. step 5.. add 3 coats of clearcoat but very light coats i pressure wash my rhino all the time and it holds great...good luck
