| Well just got back from my first trip ever riding out of state with my my wifes parents and brother in law, we went to Royalblue in TN. and Coal Creek/Windrock in TN. and didn't end up making it to Tellico. It was amazing!! Windrock had some challenging trails for a sidexside in my opinion we did trails 16,12, as far as difficult and rode tons of the moderate trails, very fun!! ANother thing that I thought was cool in royal blue was the wildlife managment officers or what ever they were all rode RZR's it was pretty cool! Only thing that sucked was the dust, it was so bad you couldn't see in front of or behind yourself but what a difference from FL. I took the RZR instead of the Grizzly 700 so my wife and I could ride safely together, it did awesome, exceeded every expectation I had for it, tons of power and a blast to drive I only hit the skid plates a couple of times ground cleance was not a problem at all like I thought it was going to be, I was going places the rhino was having a very difficult time going we had to spot the rhino quite a few times in the real tippy areas but it also did excellent as well!! The pics don't do any of the areas justice and they also don't show how steep some of the hills and mountains are, it was also some of the scariest riding I have ever done as well. I also have some video of my wife screaming at me about climbing a nasty little hill, i will post it as soon as I figure it out. Heres a few pics! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX4R9Ve-h2QICE was everywere, we slept in a tent that night, man it was cold!!! 23 degrees out at 8:45 a.m so I have no idea what it was that night OUR Cabin

| Yeah, nice pics
Who was on the Big Ugly in the background?
Glad your RZR met all your expectations. You said it went places the Rhino had trouble? That is a first for me to hear. I have heard the Rhino will go anywhere you have a mind to take it. That must mean the RZR will go there and more. I would like to see that.

I would like to see that. on the big red was just a couple of old people that came up while we were stopped they didn't even talk to us,I just overheard them screaming about mexicans and Obama it was pretty funny and about the rhino, to it's defense it was completely stock and had no wheel spacers so it was quite tippy, I used to have a rhino as well and can tell you stock I would have had difficulty on lots of the obstacles as well, I believe that is the only reason it was having some troubles on the off camber rocky sections and needed a spotter a couple of times thats all, it made it every time, one wasn't better than the other not even trying to start any of that not my intensions at all, the rhino was shared between my wife's parents and brother in law, I actually think my mother in law did the best on it, she was doing stuff on it that I was a little hesitant to do, I was very impressed.

| ok heres a video, now that I see it on video it doesn't look bad at all but it's pretty steep in reality but it cracks me up everytime my wife yells at me, even my father in law who is pretty serious in to rock crawling and hill climbs and has 50,000 rockcrawlers said he didnt like it either and wouldn't do it, I did it 3 times and decided to not push my luck any further and stopped. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX4R9Ve-h2Q | |

| I'm sure Windrock was a different world from what you are used to. Offcamber situations take some time to get used to as far as knowing the capabilities of your machine. Also, no matter which sidexside you own, the capabilities of the driver are much more of an important factor on which machine performs the best, rather than the machine itself. They all are good machines that are capable of doing more than most drivers can or are willing to achieve with them. And, dont get so testy about someone raggin you a little about your machine. That goes on all the time here, and is all in good fun. Nice pics and glad you enjoyed Windrock and Royal Blue. Try to make a group ride with us sometime. | |

Nice pics and glad you enjoyed Windrock and Royal Blue. Try to make a group ride with us sometime. I didnt mean to get testy I apologize if i did , my in-laws/brother inlaw have done windrock for about the 12th time now so they were showing me some of the trails I would have never tried on my own and to be honest probably won't do again, so I think thats why I was so impressed with the rzr and now atleast I can say I did them! but probably will just cruise around next time I go. I also noticed that the quads do much better, well not better but they can go much faster through the technical rocky stuff, it seems like you have to have a little more technique to do it in a sidexside?

| My wife gets really scared in off-camber situations too. I know maybe sometimes liquid courage gets the better of me, but after a very close call last year at Windrock that could have left me crippled up or dead, I try to use my head a little more now.
I watched a video a few months back that showed a RZR and a Rhino going thru some washouts. I was impressed how the RZR went thru it with little effort. I am sure they will go places the Rhino may have trouble because the RZR has a slightly smaller stance. I agree with you about wheel spacers. I put them on before the first ride out. The Rhino comes factory with puny tires and just looks tippy. I didn't like that at all, especially since the Rhino is mainly the wifey's toy.

| Holy shit............that hill in the video.........is it right by that huge waterhole below the main road? If so, that is the spot where my King met its demise, and almost sent me home maimed or dead. | |

| It sure as hell looks like the same spot. I bailed and let that thing go. I did not want 650 lbs of atv crushing me to the ground there. | |

| I did not take any offense to anything you said. I would be excited about a toy that new and pretty too. I am thinking hard about a RZR, especially if they put that new 850 motor in it. | |

man you should go test a rzr now atleast, I think you will be really impressed with the engine now, the power in my opinion is perfect not to much and definitely not to little. I have a BTI airfilter system and thank god I do because that dust may have killed my engine if I had the stock system on there, I personally think that the only thing the rzr has going against it right now and hopefully they have fixed it with the new filter they are sending out.

I know Iam losing my touch, what's next stock wheels on the rzr yeah those wheels killed me on gas they were so heavy! I got about 12.5mpg towing and having the hummer full of crap with the stock tires/wheels I can't imaging what I would have gotten with the larger ones. I am actually thinking of getting rhino maybe just another 450 to take up to the mountains so I can bring my dogs with me they loved riding in the rhino, iam just not sure how the 450 will do at elevation?? it did great here and kept up just fine but I never had such crazy inclines here like there is up there.

| I have Jasons old rhino and we went to Brimstone with it as most of you know and i can honestly say the the suspension made all the difference in the world. We rode behind some stock rhinos that would twist and tip so we would brace for the same and it never came. We rode smoothly over much to our delight. We were just as impressed with the rhino as jason with his rzr. Jason, we need to plan a trip together so we can switch machines and see how they compare | |
