| Me, Roamerr and several others are going to be riding around Wagon Wheel the weekend of 11/22. Some of our group will be at KOA, some will be in campers at Hilltop. If anyone wants to join us that weekend just let us know. | |

| I will try to make this one. Depending on how things go,my mother is in hospital, will have to wait and see when she gets out and how she is doing. Being fairly new to the board I haven't had a chance to make any of the rides yet and really want to meet some of the great folks on here. I'll just have to wait and play it by ear. | |

| Marty (WVYankee2) -- you've got a PM. We'll find somewhere for you to stay if you can make it. One of these days I want to make it to your area to ride (I'd pull my toyhauler most likely). | |

| Let me know what you decide to do Marty. Sometime next year myself and several others would like to come ride the trails in that area. Looking at the campgrounds in that area this might be a good place to bring the family since Little Coal River Campground shows easy access to Water Ways (says Lazy River and GoKarts). http://www.littlecoalrivercampground.com/attractions.htm | |

http://www.littlecoalrivercampground.com/attractions.htm I know a good primitive spot right on a great trailhead if you are interested.

I'll likely be interested. My toyhauler is equipped for boondocking....
Is there any good non-HM trails nearby that area. If you are able to make it on the 11/22 weekend you will find that we almost never ride the HM trails. We have great non-HM trails. I have ridden 2500+ miles in WV last year and only 100 or so miles was HM trails.

| All the trails I ride are not H/M trails. I have never bought a permit. I'm going to for 2009 though. | |

| I keep a HM permit since I sometimes go from Hilltop to KOA via the HM trails. To be honest the permit is a deal -- that's alot of riding areas for only $55. WV rules for great places to ride! | |

| Right you are Roamerr...............WV is a utopia for the outdoorsman. You should come up sometime during Gauley season and make a trip down some of the best whitewater you would ever want to see. Skiing at Snowshoe is killer too. I can't wait to move back to WV just so I can do all this stuff again. I am definitely looking forward to checking out these trails at WW in March. Do you guys keep GPS uploads and all when you make these trips? | |

| I mark points of interest but do not keep tracks. I have a Garmin Quest 2 and tracks are a real pain. I had a Magellen Explorist but was not smart enough to use it. I mainly use my GPS to keep an active track. It also works good since it lets me know what I am near. It amazes me how I can get totally turned around in those hills. The positive side is that I can always eventually get to a road. I also have purchased and uploaded VVMapping WV Maps. They have all of the Counties in WV along with the HM trails. Not bad maps now that they have color coded the HM trails. Thay also now provide a free PDF download of the HM trails. http://www.vvmapping.com/orvtrail.html | |

| Dorton,
I will be on site 88 (I think) at the KOA. White Dodge 3500 pulling a 24' white enclosed trailer. Come look us up. We are also meeting up with Roamerr and TigerRag at the top of the stair steps at 9:30 on Sat to start riding.

Got some chest waders today! May not be snorkled before we go though.

| I'll be wearing my waders. Cold and water do not go together unless i wear waders. It's too cold in those hills to be wet this time of year. | |

| On the 660 is the only things that need snorkeling is the CVT intake and exhaust. The CVT intake takes 30 minutes; the CVT exhaust maybe 1 hour. Do both of those and as long as the air intake is clear then you are good to go.... | |
