| I want a full windsheild for winter. one that is coated not to scratch. and i dont want the one Ronnie has. i dont want a vent. and dont want it to fold. just one solid peace. I was just going to make one my self. but hell its easier to just get one already cut out. i ant worried about the vacume everyone talks about. cause i will take it off for summer. who has resonable price. and good quality....... I froze my ass off comeing down the mountain the other day. so i can see it would be good in winter. Chris.... | |

| Chris, If you get the half with the kick at the top,(the top edge is bent outwards to delfect the wind), that's all you need. All of them have a tendency to get full of static-electritcy and attract the dust like a muther. With the half you can look over it if needed. I cut down my half to a quarter and it deflects the wind just fine with the lip at the top. There is a guy who makes and sells them on E-Bay, which is where I got mine, but, it is not scratch-proof. IMO the Yamaha 1/2 is the best, it is spendy, but has the lip and does not scratch as easy as the E-Bay one does. My friend Mike has the Yamaha one and after two-years (he never takes it off) looks way better then mine. The mounting hardware on the Yamaha one is far better than the E-Bay one too. I personally, think the full is a waste. |

| i had a full and removed mine. first off it was summer when i bought the rhino. a few rides and it didnt take long to see how much heat built up in there. so i removed it and enjoyed the air. another thing was the tremendous glare when driving into the sun. the plexi would almost turn white with glare and id have to hang my head out to see. also any mud that splashes up makes vision bad. now with winter hear i decided i do want some wind blockage as we ride mostly at night. i cut mine in half because i mainly wanted tgo keep the wind off my hands. im very happy with the results. blocking most of the wind and i can still see. i will just keep mines as a seasonal thing too as even with just the half it will still trap some heat in there | |

| I bought a full windshield off ebay, 139.00. I have not installed it yet, but I could tell right away I did not like the cheap-ass clamps they sent with it. I ordered 4 of those high-speed quick-release mounts so once it's together I should be able to remove the windshield in less than a minute if I want. I went with a full because I want to be able to totally enclose the Rhino and utilize that heater I spent all that money on. The heat will be a nice touch when I start taking Marlee out into the woods in the fall. I want it to be cozy for her, otherwise I would not have added the heat. Once I get the J-Strong door enclosures, I will be able to close it all the way up and let the heat rip. I bet it will be very nice if we ever get to go out on a snow ride or on a very cold rainy day. They say the vacuum thing happens......oh well. I guess I will have to live with that. Most of the time I drive my truck with the windows down so it is probably about the same thing. Good luck with your choice. | |

| I have the "Cool Flow" from Trail Armor on the red one and if I was going to buy another one it would be the same. I really like the way you can remove the botom 1/4 for warm weather and leave the top part on to help with flyin stuff from hitting you in the face. After 1 full year of riding, I can clean it with Plexus and it looks like new. It is kinda pricey, but sometimes you get what you pay for. I had to alter the top section to make it work with my roof but I like the way it went together. | |

| Chris, I am really fond of my Hunter Works windshield. The vent is handy in the Spring and Fall. IMO it is the best out there. Todd my make one with out the vent. I would check with him first. However, the vent can be nice | |

| full windshiels create a vortex for the dust, in other words they really do suck Half is the way to go, good wind deflection and no vortex. | |

| I understand. it will hold heat in. but in the winter. thats not a bad thing.... :D i know the disadvantages. but i just want it for the winter. and when we are singing down the trail at 30 MPH. my eyes start to water up and i cant see. so i have to slow down.... thats why i wanted a full one. i read on several forums. and all seem to conclude the yamaha is the very best. but Dam its $300 bucks i may call todd at hunter works and see if he has one without the vents. keep in mind. like i said its only for winter. summer i will take it off. Also i hear you should not tow at over 50 MPH with it on. has anyone had any problems. Chris..... | |

| I tow 80 with the half, it bends some, I'm sure it would be stresser on the full.... |

Ronnie you ever had any problems?..... I have some small cracks around the clamps. They will say it is from over tighten the bolts. However, they didn't show up until I pulled it a few times at 80. But they are not that big of a deal. However is telling you that Yamaha full windshield is the best is They are You can not beat Hunterworks windshield. Now Clays cool flow is a close second. You will regret getting anything else. I can wipe mud off my windshield with my gloves and it does not scratch. | |

I forgot to mention the vent. Open the vent for pulling. It helps the wind flow threw the shield.

| I've got the folding one. Love it! Cool in summer, (keeps cobwebs off the wifey) and warm in winter. I've had everything from limbs and trees across it with very few scratches. I use Plexus (I think that's the name) and it really protects the windshield.
I pull it up at 75 mph and haven't noticed any problems. Bugs and mud wash right off when using the cleaner above. I haven't noticed a great deal of dust sticking to it.
