Rhinoguy , I never drove an S. i have drove a regular RZR.
and there quick. as for the S , even most RZR guys will tell you.
if you are a woods rider. i dont think its your best bet. A arms are to long.
thay will get caught on something.
it is a quick little
buggy. and if speed is all your after. and not tried and true reliability.
you should buy one. but if you do. buy a LE or a standard RZR.
if you plan on rideing mainly trails.

Thats as honist as i can be.... Cool

PostSubject: RZR S   Polaris RZR Sport EmptySat Jan 03, 2009 10:30 am

I have the 09 RZR and it's very trail worthy, the RZR S is much wider and as ChrisC said could pose a problem on tight trails, also you will need at least a 6' wide trailer to haul..

My reg RZR with The ITP 14" 212 wheels and 14x11 terra cross tires leaves me just over 3" clearence on each side of a 5' wide trailer..

Now as far as the RZR I have, has held up..No trouble peroid--No dust issue--and it has been in some rough places..I do plan later to install the 2" lift as in some very rocky places like bolder strewn old creek beds,at times it will bottom out on rocks the Rhino dosen't...but it still got over them with no damage.

If you want speed along with a sporty comfortable ride..RZR is the ticket..if you want to haul freight it's not the way to go :)

Good luck on finding what "YOU" want..

Hey Rhino Guy
The S is great, we have one that is 64" wide at the rear and have had no problems fitting anywhere its more than stable for any riding any condition, the next time we ride you are more than welcome to come along and see for yourself even welcome to test ride her in the trails. We are going to set a ride for next Sunday with a few customers and employees the location will be Windrock or Royal Blue. Feel free to call or email Me anytime.

Like said biggest plus and drawback to the S is its width, it was designed for the sand dunes, power is a little less low end and a little faster top end than the standard model or LE models. In the woods, it will go most places but it will not go all, i had a prowler that was 62'' wide and encountered several places a chainsaw was the needed tool for me to follow the rhinos. If width and the 2k+ price difference is not a problem the S is a nice machine for sure!

I own a 09 S it is a handful in tight trails
head to head against a reg. RZR it is maybe 2 bike lenghts faster
2 of my buddys have reg. rzr's I bought used with 90 miles got a good deal
from someone in a jam the shocks don't seem that much better than
stock ones but on a MX track the S is way better I don't have much time
in it but after riding it I would buy a reg. one if I had to buy new
I can go faster thru the (tight) woods in my ranger xp that this thing
was a little dispointed with the performance but I haven't messed with the shocks
yet maybe after I get used to it I will feel differently about it
I would feel robbed if I paid 14 or 15 K. for this thing
