Please, whether it's kidding or not lets not get into personal attacks. This may not sit well with who you are kidding with, and may give any new people reading the forum the wrong impression of what were about. 2cents

The ability of these machines are really amazing. The majority of people would never dream of taking them to their limits. My rule of thumb is to decide if where I'm about to go is a fairly well traveled trail. That means that the machine is capable of doing it, as others have before me. The question is, does the driver have the ability to hit the right line to safely navigate the obstacles? What i'm getting at is it is the ability of the driver that comes into my mind before the ability of the machine does. But thats just me. affraid

Yea I know what the RZR will do since I have over 3200 miles on mine but sometimes things can happen that you have no control over that's why they call them accidents 2cents and I don't want to be in any more Laughing

On our larger group rides we realize that we have many different riders, all with different skill levels. When it comes to trail difficulty, we usually want to keep things moderate so as to not put any less experienced riders in harms way.

I would liked to see how the others did going up it, anybody else get any footage? I have to say i would have pulled out my 45 and blew all four of those tires to hell soon as i reached the parking lot lol! Or was it just because it was a teryx? I know several of the others had stock tires or ones very well worn and i think they made it ok.

I think we had several things working against the Teryx's. 1st, the ground was frozen solid, 2nd, 20 other SXS's had just went up that hill spinning like crazy and had worn off anything that might have given any traction. The tracks on the hill were just as slick as ice by the time they tried it. I'm not sure how many could have made it if we all tried again after slicking it up.

I was thinking it was a Teryx problem, but after watching the video, it is much clearer now. The stockers were about shot and they need some new ones for sure. Only real test would have been if Dodd had of had his there with the Swamplites and see what it would have done. I guess we will have to wait till next time for that test.

I agree, not sure any tire would have made much of a diff after the first 20.........the tracks on the hill were soild black and you could not stand up on them, never seen that before......... BTW it's scary sliding back down a 45 degree incline twice as fast as you were trying to go up/ affraid

But again, ALL the machines had either aftermarket tires of some kind, and most were radials......not making excuses, I would have liked to have had a set of Terra Cross or Bighorns and seen the outcome.....Dudley admitted that his Rhino would not have climbed the hill after we all tried and didn't make it......... I've just never had a machine lose traction and go ball hootin backwards like that

In the video your wheels start spinning faster when you slide back down the hill. As if your pushing the pedal to the floor as you start back......... OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH poo

As far as a helmet. I had something scare me in VW. I am going to start wearing an open face helmet, see if I like it allright It can't hurt the situation...
