| i posted this on RF.net... and i'll post it here too...
"i've got SE wheels with 2.5inch spacers all the way around. with the current setup, i've got about 1/2 of an inch from wheels to trailer rails... if that.
I just ordered SS108's today... all four are 2+5. i'm not going to have spacers... i'm wondering if they are going to fit....
anyone?
the way i see it, from the hub...
i have: 3.5 inches sticking out.
with the SS108's: 5 inches, which means i'm going to have to get another trailer(6ft wide).
am i right?"
any info would be appreciated... |

| yeah, i think the front is what's going to make me have to get a 6ft wide trailer... which is ok, when i bought it, i asked the guy if i could trade it for the 6ft if the rhino wouldn't fit. it was only a month ago, maybe two... |

| If you have 8" tires in the front, and 10" tires in the back. You should have spread of 59 1/2 " front and 60 1/2" rear. It might sqeeze on there. My 5' trailer has 61" between the rails. I got those measurements from mine. I have 4.0+3.0 offsets all around with 1" spacers in the rear. With 8" fronts, and 10" rear tires. Mine measures 55 1/2" front ( you will have 4" on me), and 58 1/2" rear.( you will have 2" on me) I hope you make it | |

| Ridepate... do you have spacers on the front? that 5+2 sticks out an awful lot... i think i might call tomorrow morning and change to 5+2 for the front.
EDIT: oh, and i've already got bump steer... i've got 2.5inch spacers on all four right now. |

| I have 5+2 on front(26x9x12) and 2+5 on back(26x12x12) and I can fit on a 5 footer but I am up against the rail. I thought about putting 2+5 on the front but I was afraid of the being to wide on the trail and the front wheels grabbing the bank and jerking the steering wheel out of my hands. Sure looks cool though. | |

| This is a pic of mine with 4.0+3.0 front with no spacers, and 10" tires. I took the 10's off and put 8's on so I could cover them with flares. | |

| Z, you don't have wheelspacers either, do you?
EDIT: wait a sec... you have 5+3 or 3+5??? it looks like you have 3+5 judging by the brake guard... |

| Z, i think i'm sticking with the 2+5. i've done alot of research on it... i like the way it looks... and it's not going to be that much different from my current set up(2.5inch spacers). thanks for your reply and posting those pics... i didn't realize you had that offset when we riding windrock... |

| fellas - I dont see how any of y'all operate on a 5' trailer anyhow....that way I drive my truck that thing would be squalling in bothe lanes I have stock offset with 1" front spacers and 2" rears....this has been the best set up I have found.... when I get new rims - they will be offset to negate the use of spacers.... thats where I get confused.... 2-5, 5-2, 3-10, blah blah.... anyone care to give a newby a tutorial so I am somewhat edumacated? thanks. | |

| rc... the first number is the backspacing(or inside the rim). the second number is the outside of the rim.
so.... 2+5 means there are 2inches of rim to the inside and 5inches outside the lugnuts... which pushes the rim out more to give a wider track.
5+2 means 5inches to the inside and 2inches to the outside... giving more of a stock track.
3+4 means 3inches to the inside...etc.
there are a couple of posts over on RF.net that have illustrations... if you need to see it, i can find them and post on here... |

| that about explains it pretty well..thanks.
is my math right??
2+5 should probably equal my set up of non off set wheels in the rear with 2" spacers
and 5+2 should probably equal my set up of non off set wheels in the front with 1" spacers | |

| it would depend on what offset you have now... SE wheels have a different offset from regular stock wheels...
or do you have a set of aftermarket regular offset wheels? (looks like you do, from your avatar) |
