Digital air gauge? Empty
PostSubject: Digital air gauge?   Digital air gauge? EmptySun Mar 01, 2009 7:40 pm

I have had this Digital air gauge for the past 5 years. Got it with my 2004 Foreman. It has been great. Very accurate and easy to read. I just changed the battery for the first time last week. My question is, does anyone have something like it? I would like to pick up a spare one.

Who is the manufacturer of that one Yank? I like the way it looks. That would make a great Photo of the month prize!

Wish I knew Clay. Thats why i'm looking for something simular. No manufactures info on it anywhere. I've looked on Ebay several times and never found anything simular. This thing has been beat around on 2 ATV's and in the glove box of my Rhino for the last 5 years and works great. I just changed the battery for the first time cause the display was starting to dim. Took a standard 2032 lithium.

Any auto parts store has the digital ones that start at 0, only problem if you look at the package they say reliability +or- 1-2 lbs, i want something more accurate myself.

Wondering if you would catch on to that. I thought it was big enough to see. Even for your eyes. Digital air gauge? 13435

I know you may like digital gauges, but i have always shyed away from that.Only because i never know if that dam battery in it is actually full of charge which can and will throw your readings off quite a bit and battery level does not have to drop off much at all for that to happen.I do alot of riding on my own and take many long rides that may have me out there in survival mode for a couple of days,so i stay away from battery powered gadgets like that.Mechanical analog gauges of great value will always work.CABELAS makes a very nice one. This is just my opinion..there are nice digital gauges out there. DontKnow

A little off the topic question, but I like the low pressure, round, analog type that has a hose extension built in. The one I have reads from 0 to 15 and is made by Reb-Co. I believe I got it from Jegs or Summit Racing. Digital is fine, if that is your preference.

Accuracy does vary on any cheap gauge of either type. I have checked several times when having tires on the car or truck installed and they almost never read right against an accurate gauge.

I agree with what you all say about the cheap digital gauges. That is why I have never purchased another one. But, this one is amazingly accurate. I have checked it against several other gauges I have for my car and trailer tires. It is right on. And it is consistant. If I have 9.4 psi in my tire I can check it 5 times and it will stay there or go to 9.3 or 9.2 from air release. That is why I posted this. To see if anyone else had a good experience with another digital gauge that they bought, before I bought another.
