| Great looking stash Chris, hope you can get out and find some more. I dont know how quick they are growing but each time i have gone,(week apart) i have found just as many if not more. Dont know how much longer they will last but i am going to look. :D i played hooky last friday and went up by myself and found this mess And i found these as well There were some others around as well but they were smoking cigarettes and drinking beer and heading back to the shroom patch And yes, i think some of them did croak | |

| many versions, after soaking several hours to get rid of hitchhikers and whatnots,
1.you can roll them in egg batter dip in cornmeal, fry them in butter, oil, olive oil.
2. sautee them in butter/ olive oil
3. last night it was : rinse, roll in corn meal and fried in butter. That was excellent but it was some of the "richest" shrooms.
bettys sister was in from Illinois and it brought back memories for her as well. Proud to say she ensured that no shroom grew in vain.
I am sure Lt can throw in some more.
If any of you guys are riding in the woods look for turkey scratching in the leaves. I have found many around these areas, it seems turkeys like them also.
Chris, you all have done excellent on gathering of the mushrooms. Job well done ! Enjoy them, savor them, become them... well maybe not the last part, sort of got carried away. Dang good haul !

| While growing up we always rolled them in flour and fried them. I usually like to eat them with seasoned flour now, in spaghetti sauce, or just sauteed with onions (or ramps) in butter and fixed with chicken or steak.
I love em. I am going to be eating a mess tonight for sure.
