| Looking to get a radar detector, not willing to pay $500 but not sure if $50 will get it done. Anyone have any experience with them? What do I need to look for? | |

| Sorry Clay, not up on the new models. I used to have them years ago, and seemed to give me a false sense of security that ended up getting me in more trouble with them then without them. You know, kind of like Man Tires do. | |

| i have the passport series and love them you can get the 8500 on ebay refurb with full warranty for about 150.00 tim moore has one. I have the solo version and love it as well | |

| I got a Cobra sometihng helps a little but I only really use it when running late foe work I try not to speed alot anymore...bought it right out of high school when was still a speeder | |

| I have been using a Uniden for the last 5 or 6 years. It has been pretty decent....but needing a new one. The one I have now has wires coming loose, & so forth. | |
