| OK. The day started out beautiful but got nasty around 4. So needlessly to say I didn't get near the pics I wanted to. I haven't been to Brimestone or Windrock but what we were able to ride at Swiss was by far the the gnarliest I've ridden so far. We did 60 miles which included the 30 mile round trip sprint to Summersville. So here we go... The rhino and teryx skinnied by but the ranger had to get in the hole. That rut was 3 ft. deep and full of mud. Was so excited watchin I forgot to snap a pic. Stupid rookie... This trail ended early with a side sloped steep incline that was too slick from Fridays rain. So down we went I think someone posted a vid of a rock crawler tryin to climb this section. I can see why it didnt make it. My buddy Phil bringin the ranger down a pretty steep slope ( look at the trees on the right ) This trail goes forever and would be much more technical had we came up instead of down. But since it was my first time there I had no idea. Once we got to the bottom we came across this.. A nice 30ft waterfall. Then we found a switchback that led us to the train tracks that we were happy to cross that led us to this... Since it was lunchtime we kicked back for awhille. It's always a bad idea to swim right after lunch so Phil and his boy Wyatt took a quick dip... After some grub we made our way back up the mountain and intersected with another set of trails that led us to Summersvile with some really cool photo op's along the way... This spot is great for watching the whitewater teams bring their vicims down the river. As we were coming back the rain set in and it wasn't easy to take pics anymore but I did manage to grab 1 more.. By this time we were just trying to get to the trucks. So we took what we were hoping to be a fairly easy direct route. While it was kinda direct it wasn't easy. Plenty of photo op's of technical terrain. We basically made a big circle around the Swiss area but left a ton of trails untouched. When we got back there were 8 or 10 rock crawlers that were making their way in and we never saw or heard them. If I remember correctly we didn't see anyone until we were back to the trucks. Looking forward to exploring this area again soon. There's so much to see and so much I haven't been on yet. From Swiss I've connected over 300 miles of trails. Let's ride.. | |

| Thanks for the pics Mark. I do believe that trail you were on was called the River Trail which is one of the moderate ones. That is a great place to camp down on the river there. | |
