My experience with Trail Logic. NOT GOOD!

I am quite agitated...Bought the complete Gusset kit they sell. They told me I would have to have their gusset/winch plate due to my winch. Their normal front gusset wouldnt fit due to the winch plate i have. So I bought the winch plate too. They said that they would credit me $20 for the cost of the front Plate that I didnt need. Took that off the cost of the winch mount. No discount there. Just swapping stuff around. Here is where it gets good. Paid for the kit this Wednesday. Said it would be ready to ship today Friday.... $186 bucks shipped....Mean time I told a buddy about it. He called and ordered his today. Then calls me up and says.... Clay.... the kits are on sale for $20 bucks less than you paid on Wed. Sale started yesteday (thur). So... I called up and asked for the discount.... being mine shipped today..... I was told I was basically SOL... Shitouta luck... I said to them ( I sent you a paying customer today that ordered the same kit ). They didnt care.... Bottom line, their customer service sucks. If I didnt need that kit so bad.... I would tell them to stick it. I could understand if it was last week or the week before.... But the sale started today.... they knew when I ordered the kit that they were gona run this sale....I am quite pissed. They have lost me as a customer forever. I will spend my money else where from here on out. My buddy will too. Thats my 2 cents..... complete

I spoke to some lady. Maybe his wife. At this point I don't care about the 20 bucks. Just the principal behind it. I still have half a mind to ship the crap back. In this day and time/economy..... You would think keeping customers would be a top priority. Especially ones that sent you extra business. I may or may not contact him. You get better service at dollar general. I would contact Chris. he may make it worth your
while. he is a Good Dude. my skids were 2 days late getting
to me. he sent me free CV boot gaurds for Free. and there
Normaly $80 bucks. so it might be worth talking to him.
he likes to keep his customers Happy...

I also dealt with Chris -- and was quiite impressed -- as stated earlier, I suggest you go tell him your complaint...

He's grown his business by "word of mouth" and I don't think he wants any dissatisfied customers out there. I think he'd try to make it right with you...

Well it may have been one of his peons. But it only takes one turd in the punch bowl.... I will email him tommorow. See what he says.

I suggest you tell him that it was others of his customers that recommended you email him -- i.e. let him know that you're communicatiing with other Rhino owners.

I sent him an email explaining everything. We shall see what he says. Im not trying to be a dick. I just think that the way I was treated/handled by that woman on the phone was wrong. Im sure the parts selling business has dropped off just like every thing else in this economy. You would think that keeping customers would be a top priority. Especially ones that refer you paying customers.

I think that woman is his wife. Her customer service is not inline with his!!!!!

Well, I heard back from him.... Alright here we go.... The complete kit was $125. Without the front gusset plate she told me $105, then add the price of the winch plate. Which made it $170 + shiping. $186 total. The complete kit is on sale now for $105. So that $20 off that...$85 then add the winch plate... Thats $150 + shiping. Still less than I paid.... I think someone in AZ has their wires crossed. He said their wasn't anything he could do about this price, as it was already discounted BUT.... But.... If I spend another $100 bucks with him he will knock $20 off the order. I believe he is a good guy... But his wife is costing him business... I'm done....

So basically he is tore between standing up for his customer or his wife????? You will lose that fight every time. It sucks but that is what is happening.

Not trying to add too much fuel to the fire, but I am fairly dissapointed with Trail Logic as well. I ordered the gusset set for my rhino Friday morning on June 5th thinking I would prob get it the next week sometime. I called them to see when it would come in and they said it would prob ship out either June 11th or 12th and I wouldn't receive it until June 17th. I asked why and was told that they make the gusset set once you place your order...kinda wish I would have know that ahead of time..they should put a disclaimer on their website regarding this..oh well.
