Yeah, we are above water now. Six inches of rain in one hour

Flood Flood....

My wife had to work in the Louisville office to day. She said she had never seen so much rain in her life. She had to pull over three time on the way home to let the rain easy a little so she could see.

If anyone in the Louisville area need any help with anything. Let us know and we will see what we can do to help out.

well it looked pretty bad on the news, looks like the library was a terrible hit, did the ohio spill over ? or was this due to insufficient drainage from the drain system downtown ?

We had 2 ft of water in front of our building that normally doesn't even get backed up at all with the heaviest of rains. I as lucky that my house is higher than the others around me and we have a large drainage basin not far away.

Insufficient drainage. However, some places got 6+ inches of rain in one hour.

It rained some last night, but it was nothing like the rain from earlier.

6 inches of rain in an hour would tax any storm system, just be glad it wasnt snow,,, 5 foot of snow ?

The storm drains would have to be as big as the street to handle that kind of flow.
