| Hey guys, Will be home for R&R and riding the event at Brimstone Labor day weekend. My right front axle started clicking after a CV boot replacement. Only does it in 4X4. Want to go ahead and replace it so I don't have to worry about snaping it on the ride. Question is; should I go back stock with Yamaha or go with aftermarket. Don't want to change out all the axles. Besides a torn boot, I have not had any axle problems, even with the 27 inch tires. Curious what you guys experience on this is. Thanks in advance. And don't tell me to put a RZR-S axle in it either. Not ready for that expense..lol | |

| Mike,
With 700, I would stay with the stock axle. They are pretty tough. My $.02 | |

| Mike did you grease the CV when the boot was replaced. If not try this... Take a turkey baster needle full of grease and inject through the boot filling it up. See if that helps your clicking noise. A little silicon sealant to seal the needle hole when your done. | |

| Dealer replaced boot for me, had trouble getting a boot for 700, they said i was the first one for them. So they replaced it for me, they beat the joint off with a pretty big hammer so i think they busted the cage. the clicking was not there till they put the new boot on. I just don't want to get half way through something and snap an axle. Have not broke down yet, don't want to start at Brimstone. | |
