Hey, form the way i heard this happened that cage did great! I bet nothing else on a stock utv would have done any better. As to ROPS approved, only the 2010 has that official certification.
Just hope you guys cutting them up left and right dont find you made them less safe. You might consider adding bars like dodds did across the front and to the rear bar to strengthen them even more.

i was riding a trail that was grew up with brairs and weeds so i was going between 5 and 10 mph and i was riding the right side of the trail to keep the briars off of me and it looked like there was still trail there but it was just weeds. the front tire went off the edge and it was staight down. i hit the brakes but there was no stopping it and over it went. it rolled 60+ft down till it hit a tree head on.


you can see in this pic that where stealth is walking is the path where my passenger tire should be and a few inchs to the right it straight down.

DAMN! Did.....oh shit come out of your mouth? THAT had to be a helpless feeling. We had a four wheeler roll off a 25 foot bank. He was bring up the rear as it was in my two wheeler days. We found him 20-30 minutes after he rolled. Luckily he didnt bleed to death after some major head trauma. No helmet. Not to mention he spilled our adult beverages.
